Nikisha Patel, the stunning lass, debuted in Telugu films with ‘Komaram Puli’ opposite Pavan Kalyan. The film, which was directed by our own SJ Suriyah, bit the dust at the box-office despite its pre-release hype and the amazing on-screen chemistry between Pawan and Nikisha.
The film’s failure put paid to SJ Suriyah’s hopes of continuing in Tollywood as a director. Fortunately for him, he found a chance to move to Kollywood, as director Shankar drafted him to play a significant role in his upcoming film ‘Nanban’, a remake of the Bollwyood super-hit film ‘3 Idiots’.
Suriyah is also planning to make a Tamil film dealing with school students and their troubles. The actor-director is expected to play a teacher in the film.
Meanwhile, Nikisha has been signed up by director K.S. Adhiyamaan to play the lead role in his upcoming film titled ‘Nanbaa’. Adhiyamaan preferred Nikisha over Madhushalini after Suriyah put in a word in favour of the talented Nikisha.
Suriyah, who had earlier decided to remake ‘Komarampuli’ in Tamil with Nikisha in the lead, had dropped the project after the Telugu version flopped. Apparently as a result of it, he has now secured Nikisha a chance to maker her debut in Tamil films!
Whatever be the case, let’s get ready to welcome the stunning Nikisha into Kollywood!
