Umm. I think a new iPod Shuffle goes for 129. I don't know if many people will want to pay $9 less for a used one. Hey but I don't have one! Don't listen to me.

It has never been plugged into the computer so it is brand new. I opened the box, and decided against it, I got a 512mb and decided not to keep this one.

I had that problem too. But then I have no repercussion though - i hacked OSX.2 to hell.
On the other hand, Panther seems to be pretty good on its own so i have yet to hack it.

So far, by changing GoDaddy's DNS info to point to our dyndns host, I can get our GoDaddy domain to point to the server.... but it loads the church's website! I have set up a new Web Site in Server Admin with the Web Folder pointing to the output of iWeb (just as the church's website is set up).
Can you post what your website setup looks like in Server Admin? (See attached)
If you can enter childrenscenter.org in your browser and get the church website, then your DNS setup seems to be working okay but your web server setup isn't

No NANO FOR ME! My so so friend got one over the weekend. Its really scratched up already. Im gonna go for a Apple refurbed 30GB color iPod. Or a plain 20GB.

Oh wow! Thats amazing! Thanks a lot man! I'll give it try on Sunday/Monday when I see my dad. It seems logical. I can't find the setting on my iPhone, but perhaps because I don't sync my contacts with an Exchange account (and the setting is hidden).

I am a Apple Fan boy through n through. Well i like to call myself the MAC daddy haha!
I have just come across the mac mini server. I want it!!! But not sure it can replace my current set up.
In my garage, i have a Dell 390 workstation with 4 TB of space. I manily use this to keep all my movies, music, and media on. I stream my movies from it via shared drives to my WD TV Live box. Which i love... I use programs like, Vuse / Handbrake actually they are the most common apps i use. Eventually id like to be able to back up my external drives from my imac to the server.
Just wondering if the mac mini server could replace that. As the Dell is power hungry, large and just plain ugly. But it does have 4TB worth of space.
Could the mac mini replace this setup, and if so how?

posting a copy of that might help (or the part you are worried about i guess to keep it short). easier to read and research than guess and give you a wrong answer.
the two copies of X are fine. i have several copies/versions in my MP with no issue. and one more on an external firewire drive actually come to think of it...

Anyone planning on going to the Apple store in Reston VA this thursday? I pre-ordered my phone and plan on swinging by before work at around ~6:30.

Yeah there is a major problem with backlit wireless keyboards: The batteries aren't going to last for months anymore, are they? Where is all that power for the lights going to come from?

I nealry lost a testicle when my wife saw the debit... but once she got to use the monitor a bit.... she was thrilled and acknowledge how much better it is then her 17 inch dell at work and praised me for making such a wise investment....
now if that does not demonstrate the quality of apple.... you should just go buy a dell!

Thank you for your advice and help. However, because this particular iMac G4 didn't look so good, I am no longer interested in it. I did, though, buy an iMac G5 17" (1.8 GHz with Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse) for $328.95. Earlier today, I tried to bid on a iMac G5 with an Intel processor that was running Snow Leopard. I lost by $5.01! :( I wanted that one so badly!

They can now be purchased online as well in all parts of the country for $249 through AT&T (there's no contract when buying the phone, either), there's a thread about it in the iPhone news forum. So I think that price would be very optimistic, as anyone on here could get one for $249 and have it unlocked in twenty minutes.
Also, if it's a refurb, why does it come in the packaging for new phones? IIRC, refurb iPhones come in brown boxes...

Top-10 positions are all well and good, but I want to see some real hord-core unit figures that fully show the penetration the iMac G5 is having.
Obviously I won't get that, but it's what I want anyway.

Unfortunately there does not seem to be a good way to sync most LG phones with a mac computer. The only thing I have come across is Bit Pim and its reviews are pretty spotty.
Well, I don't know. Is it really that hard to manually do it?

Backstory - I ran the service department for a small regional computer chain in the mid 80s and Apple was our main brand. While I was there, I brought home this banner and poster and have dragged them along with me everywhere I've gone for 25 years.
Now I'm curious about them. I've searched eBay but don't see any similar for sale. Does anyone here recognize these? Any idea what they might be worth?

I looked thru that apple listing of keystrokes, but I couldn't find one to restore windows (or I overlooked it). That is, if a window of an app is minimized onto the dock and you select the app by apple+tab, is there a keystroke to restore the window so I don't have to use the mouse to find it on the dock and click on it?
