My favorite iPhone design was the first one. Bring back the aluminum and rounded sides. It's not comfortable to hold this iPhone 4 brick!

His character on "Two & A Half Men" is based loosely on his life. He's been this way for the longest time. He's been through enough rehab to know what the alternatives are (the "healthy" lifestyle), and he obviously doesn't want that. He enjoys living as he does, so who can begrudge him that?

Bin Laden was the figurehead of the organization. Him dead is still a blow to Al-Qaeda. Was he in charge anymore probably not but it is still a big deal that he is dead.
Bin Laden was more than the figurehead of Al Qaeda, he was the money guy�working on fund-raising and logistical support. Bin Laden was never a fighter, in fact some of the Taliban thought very little of him until he proved to be a valuable source of funding and weaponry. However, the events of 9/11 made him a folk hero and a figurehead of Al Qaeda.
People's perception of reality matters more in these situations than actual reality. The fact that the average guy in the street probably still thinks/thought of him as the head of al-Qaeda is the important part.

I said "iPhone dominate smartphone market". What you mentioned is iOS vs Android. They're completely different.
If Apple did not have VZ iPhone, they will have 0 share outside GSM phone. Apple want the market share to translate into profit.
Apple is a company who's profit comes, mostly, from selling hardware. So market share of product matters to Apple. Google, on the other side, cares more on OS market share. As long as iPhone still win the "phone market", not the OS market share, Apple will do well.

I cannot believe people are still stupid enough to believe that they will come out with a white iPhone 4 (My personal two cents). It makes absolutely no sense for them unless they really did plan to postpone the release of the next generation iPhone.
Just look at the mediatrends especially how much of the media was hyped on here with bestbuy stocking them up and all other major retailers all of a sudden having the white SKUs in their systems.
Get real guys, if you want a white iphone from Apple. Mostlikely you will never get one hence why i gave up and bought a conversion lol

I'm kind of surprised that he was still alive.
Apparently he had long term kidney disease... I thought he would have died in a cave years ago and no-one had found his body (we haven't seen him in the media for years).

I installed the first developer preview and I disliked the fact they changed some of the trackpad gestures,I m not gonna try this one.

Once I get my iMac will get the free basic MobileMe and purchase the very reasonable 20.00/year for music.
It's cheaper than DropBox which charges 200.00 /year 100GB and 100.00 /year 50 GB Even if I didn't get the music I'd be getting the 200.00 and 100.00 pkgs from Dropbox for free.

Data is even more of a bandwidth hog, harder to time multiplex w/o slowing down transmission drastically. People also use data much more often than voice now (especially the iPhone). When you have 10,000 people packed into a small area for an event what more can you expect? The area is probably covered by one tower (or if you're lucky a few small cell sites in the venue).
Unfortunately extending and increasing capacity of cell service isn't as simple as setting up a wireless router. Takes a bit more work and planning than that. It's also hard in the US due to FCC regulations/state regulations/city regulations and high public opposition to new cell towers.

Paying less is not good. If you are a true Apple believer, you want to pay as much as possible so you can high five when Apple has record profits. It's not about the consumer, it's what's best for Apple.
Wow some people here are incredibly close minded. Nothing comes good out of being dedicated to one brand, nothing. You don't get any perks from the company, you lose out on possible better competitor products, you lose money, you lose out on knowledge of other products, etc.
Furthermore you are dedicated to a brand that is currently one of the most unethical companies out there, the only other company that compares is Sony. Don't get me wrong, I love the iPod line and I love the iTunes software (even if its bloated, management is 2nd to none for music), but the company does some shady things to save a few bucks, and go to great lengths to give the brand a positive name in the media (which includes banning certain individuals from their events if their reviews aren't what apple likes..iLounge 3rd generation shuffle for instance).

Really good to see the update (finally)... but I am disappointed they didn't bring the 24" back :(
The 27" is too big, and the resolution on the 21.5 is laughable for an upgrade of this magnitude.
The 21.5" is about the same size as the 24", just cut down to a 16:9 aspect ratio. (1920x1080 resolution instead of 1920x1200 on the old 24")
But the next iMac upgrade should be pretty amazing. (8-core base model?)
Not until Intel releases such a CPU.
Having gotten used to a 24" panel, it's hard to step down to a 21.5. Obviously, it's nice to step up to the 27", if one has the extra disposable income. The 16GB RAM is a nice reality option, especially if the default were 8GB.
I hope you don't consider getting the RAM as a BTO option directly from Apple since that would be just a waste of money. Get the 27" model and upgrade the RAM yourself.

If you download LaTeXiT (http://ktd.club.fr/programmation/latexit_en.php) and have LaTeX installed on your system (see this post (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=2247154#post2247154) for how to install LaTeX) you can set up a shortcut in the preferences of LaTeXiT (say Command - /) so that you can automatically create an equation from LaTeX written in Pages (using the Services menu), because Pages is a Cocoa App.
*If you shell out $100 for MathType, Word is probably better than with just Equation Editor, I have never used it though.
