Here is a sample of what you are looking at if you get the screen replaced.iPhone Screen Repair (http://techrestore.com/xcart/product.php?productid=18174&cat=359&page=1)
Thanks, but this is my backup phone. I know I can probably replace the LCD and sell it for higher but I'd rather just sell it outright. The best offer I received is $240, will sell for $245 + shipping if anyone here is interested.

I'm going to give it another shot. Didn't do much for me on the Playstation, bu then I got it at the same time as FF7 and the original Resident Evil (and Parrapa the Rappa :) ) so it didn't get much play time...

How you interpret the events of your life becomes your reality. Nothing new there. Every successful or happy person understands this universal truth. You attract into your life what it is you think.

That is just a bunch of mac apps. The client I am doing this for does not even own a mac I don't think. If you look at this page they just want some like this where it says "sign up for news letter".

The thing is they are not great at using computers and they do not want to file all the emails that come in from that form. They want all the email address that come from that form to go to one database. That they can later send newsletters too. Same as that site. It is quite common, I see those on half the sites I go to....

A multimedia iPod would have a the very least a big press conference. And we usually find out about those a week or two in advance. Since there is no keynote in Paris this year, I'd say no video iPod just yet.
Maybe it's punishment for the leaked rumors. ;) NO MORE NEW PRODUCTS FOR YOU!

Only three things come to mind:
1) That you are inadvertently calling mysqli_close somewhere before a query or ping, maybe in one of your includes.
2) You are overwriting $conn somewhere else.
3) Some PHP bug in an older version of PHP perhaps. Are you guys running on CentOS / RHEL? If so I would suggest upgrading to 5.2 from the testing repos and see if that helps.
I could see the close or even possibly an overwrite happening. At the same time, that is kinda what I want to be able to detect with one of the cases mentioned above.
It's a compiled-from-source version of PHP 5.3.5.

You can't use a disk that came with another mac. You need to use a full retail version. Also you will need to do a clean install, you can't do an upgrade install coming from Tiger.

Just checked on my Verizon iPhone running iOS 4.2.8, and it IS allowing me to airplay video to my Apple TV. I don't usually airplay, as I just stream via homesharing from my Macbook Pro to my Apple TV, so I can't say if this is "new" or not. But, I can definitely Airplay video.

True.
An 8MP cam with with a better lens will destroy it.
Cameraphones will always be a bit gimped purely because of their size and multifunction nature.
Very soon it will make no difference as these cameraphones will supersede single-function point-and-shoot cameras in sales. In due course it won't be worth it to manufacture them unless they're higher-end. And by point-and-shoot I mean a Canon Powershot SD1000, for example.
Device convergence. Cameraphones have been catching up very nicely as of late. I can do so me pretty astounding things with my iPhone 4 camera plus photo software. The only real issue yet to be sorted out is zoom.

Does it make a difference where I purchase my iPhone 4?
It does now. AT&T has officially stated that they'll have two things for walk-ins without a preorder: Jack and ****. Nothing until 6/29. If you want one on 6/24, go to an Apple store and get there very early. Good luck.

I was actually considering Pixeljunk Eden. It seemed pretty fun though I don't know if I can deal with a brutal difficulty level. :(
Well, I wouldn't say it is brutal to the point of being unplayable. The point of the game is to collect these things called "Spectra" in each level. You do this by getting your character to climb higher and explore more of the levels. But you have a limited time to do this. That is where the difficulty comes in. The mechanic of the game is very easy to grasp and pretty easy to master. It is the time limit that gives me the most problems.
It is a very fun game though. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression. The game, as with all of the PixelJunk games, is very fun and has a very unique graphical look and great soundtrack. Easily worth a purchase from the PSN.

Hi all,
Basically I'm in a little situation and I'd like to know what you guys think is the best course of action.
So this deal was done off ebay, but I talked to the member on ebay. It just wasn't bought with Paypal and isn't going through an item listing. It sounds completely unsafe and dodgey but it hasn't proved to be all bad news.
It started off he offered to do it $650 for 32gb iPhone 4 sealed & unused. I said okay, can I do that Paypal? He said no because the fees would be too high, like $40 on an item that expensive?
Then I said, okay, can you make an item listing for it at least so we can feedback each other also? He declined that too and said the fees for the listing would be a lot.
He said bank deposit only for that price. I declined and said sorry this isn't a safe enough method. He offers COD (Cash on delivery). I accepted that but what I didn't realize is you can't even check what's being posted to you first, you have to pay first.
Either that's the case everywhere or the guy at my post office is a twat.
So I'm standing there when it arrives and I said do you mind if I check it's what I ordered? He said I can't, I have to pay first. So on the spot, I did.
I open it up, it's a brand new condition but slightly used iPhone 4 16gb. Not sealed, not entirely new and the wrong capacity.
But, its a genuine iPhone 4 16gb and it works perfectly.
Now I STILL have it.
I contacted him and he said he is sorry for the mistake and one of his friends or ebay helpers (or something, I don't really know) packed it and got it wrong. He said send it back and he will send me the 32g.
I told him, nothing personal but I want some form of protection too. If I send it and don't hear from you again, I have no way of getting back my $650. I asked that he send the 32g first.
Obviously, he declined and said I had to return the other one first. He said why would I doubt him, he already sent this one. I do agree there.
So I have a few options now. I can send it back express, and hope it all goes fine. If I do that I'll get it back sooner as he said he'd post it express back. If he takes my money and runs, that's pretty much the end BUT I do have his and his companions full name if I can take legal action with a private sale?
The other option is I have a friend in SA, where he is. She's agreed to help me if I go ahead with this idea. The plan would be to post the 16g to her, and she would meet with him on the 11th May to do an exchange in person. She'd then send the new 32g back to me. And I've known her my entire life so that plan is sound, bar one thing.
If for some reason they can't get in contact on the 11th, it will waste a lot of time.
I don't want to waste any more time because I'm over doing things like this when I need to be doing other things.
Keeping in mind, he has my $650 right now because to receive this 16g I have to pay the cash on delivery.
Your thoughts on the situation?

Hello everyone! This is my first post on this forum, but I have been visiting for awhile now. I hope you can help, or point me in the right direction.
Pardon my ignorance on these issues, I'm certainly a newbie, but I am trying to change that with your help.
I currently have a MacBook Pro (Spring 2010), Time Capsule and PC. I use the PC strictly for school, but that will be changing in the very near future since it is on its last leg. I plan on buying an iMac this summer to replace the PC. That is, as long as I can get the network to work the way I want it to.
I will be taking my MBP to school so I can work on projects between classes. I would like the network to work in a way that allows me to work projects on the MBP, then when I get home and turn on the iMac I can resume working on the projects and visa versa. So the computers basically mirror each other for files, documents, music, email, etc. (this is how my network at work performs). There has to be an easy way to do it, I'm just not crafty enough to figure it out. I was told I could do it with my PC, but I never could get it to work correctly. Maybe if I run a back up with I get home, log out of the MBP, log into the iMac, run a backup then i'm on my way???
I asked the guy at the Apple Store, he said "yeah that's easy" then went through about 10 key strokes and said "there you go". Then he said that I would have to do that for each file, folder, picture...., who has that kind of time?
I also thought about buying the 1 on 1 service through Apple to help me with this, but I'd rather not lug my iMac, MBP and Time Capsule through the mall. Think this would be worth the money for me?
Thanks for any help!

Basically the Mac Pro comes in two different fundamental configurations: a single CPU version and a dual CPU version. These are two different chipsets and unless you reeeally like overspending it is not wise to change this later.
Consider your needs and first of all determine if the software you'll be using can take advantage of a high number of cores. If you don't know a google or forums search can help, you can also ask about specific software here.
Once you have determined how many cores you need (or want) you can go straight to the model you need (stock or customized at the apple online store) or, if you are feeling adventurous, you can, as you are proposing, buy a single cpu or dual cpu model and upgrade it with very specific processors. If you want a dual CPU model you CAN'T mix different processors; they have to be identical. If you buy a single CPU model you CAN'T add another CPU later unless you also change the chipset, which is, as I said, very expensive.
I'd say more here about which CPUs you can upgrade to but I think you first need to determine your actual needs and your budget.
Alright. Thank you VERY much for all your help! I really am just going to be doing simple edits on my Mac (the clips will be 1080p-Videos taken from the T2I Rebel). In the future however, I might want to learn Aftereffects and other editing programs. I'll first be using ScreenFlow, iMovie and Final Cut X.

Same happened to me, but a hard restart somehow helped.
It's good and bad. It fixed the problem, but now I can't reproduce my steps to recreate the problem for a bug report. Try to file a bug report if possible.
Hard restart? As in you held down the button and forced it?

I buy games for both. Some games I know I am going to love the multiplayer, and will still play through the single player once in a while. Other games I buy for single player only. Usually games that are one player only.
