Sometimes when i am using my iphone, four icons randomly popup on the screen and they only go away when i restart the phone. What is this and how can i stop it from doing that. I have a JB iPhone 4 4.3.1

I am past the 14 day return window but I have only had my MBP for roughly a month now. I am noticing a dead pixel on the screen. Will Apple fix that or does Apple require a minimum amount of dead pixels to fix?

The upright version of this one that was at my university's arcade got many a quarter from me. "Entering Sector 1... Point... 2." :D
I would have bought the sit-down one for that price, too. Some collectors would have paid more, just to get a working vector CRT.

Well kind of, but that's very limited. It doesn't support drag and drop, icon or column views, file previews, searching, .zip archiving and unarchiving, etc. In other words, all the goodies you get in a Finder window (including iDisk Finder windows). Using AJAX technologies, most of that should be possible, as they are doing for the Mail application. And as I said, making folders individually password-protectable (separate passwords, unlike now where it's one for the whole disk) is a priority for me.
Ah - I get you now, and yes all that would be very nice. I don't use the iDisk that often, mainly just to store the odd file that I work on from both home and work, but the functionality you describe would make that a lot easier too.

Good point... I hadn't considered the battery time. By this time next year, the memory chips will definitely be a lot cheaper so 2G (or more) will be easily do-able in something as small as the Shuffle for a decent price. Hopefully the battery life can be improved as well. Not much use being able to store 36 hours of music and not being able to listen to it.
Oh, great, now we've got someone referring to '2G' as 2 gigabytes. The confusion is just going to grow!!!

These movie and music execs just keep on going after the wrong people. Those of us who legally purchase audio and/or video content from iTunes are the law-abiding folk. If we were interested in pirating, we wouldn't be buying from iTunes when there are plenty of shady sources for the content.
I don't have the solution for their problem [piracy], but I know that penalizing the paying folks is only going cut off revenue for them and create more pirates in the long run.:rolleyes:

Does the human race have to be like bateria and proliferate all over the place consuming the earth until the land is barren? That's what you want? You want Europe to be like China and run out of food such that they have to give "child licenses" so that ppl won't starve to death? Oh...I know...how about Afghanistan which is what? Like 7? Does "I have no desire for a smartphone" go under "already have other phone" or under "undecided/other"?
If you already have another phone then "already have other phone" would be the logical choice. But really no one here cares whether or not if you don't want a smart phone.

You don't need to know a year ahead of Apple's product launch dates to run your business. There are lots of professionals using 5 year old software to get their millions of dollars of worth work done. I like software upgrades as much as the next guy, but just because it's cool to install new stuff, not that I'll be able to do much more than I can do right now with the new software.
