You bring a fresh perspective to these boards. Actually discussing an issue rather than getting worked up in a tizzy and shouting platitudes. ;)
well that's too kind! I like it here because people seem pretty well informed. Maybe Jobs' pretentious claim that Apple is "the intersection of the Liberal Arts and Technology" (http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1976935-4,00.html#ixzz1JLMouV91) isn't too far off the mark.

More analyst idiots spouting off crap that anyone can guess at. There are probably more competent analysts in these forums then on wallstreet...

My first week of owning my MBA 13, I was going to move my Superdrive while still plugged in. The extremely short cord got me and it fell on my palmrest area leaving a ugly scratch. I had some Novus #2 fine scratch remover for glass and plastic. I used it and it did a good job. It was very obvious before and after 5 minutes of buffing, I really have to search for the spot.

The iMac G5 were just updated in May 2005. There is a slim to none chance that there will be an update until MWSF JAN 2006. :)

I checked the update pace for Mac OS X 10.4.
29/04/2005: 10.4.0
17/05/2005: 10.4.1 (+ 18 days)
12/07/2005: 10.4.2 (+ 56 days)
31/10/2005: 10.4.3 (+ 111 days)
11/01/2006: 10.4.4 (+ 72 days)
14/02/2006: 10.4.5 (+ 34 days)
03/04/2006: 10.4.6 (+ 48 days)
27/06/2006: 10.4.7 (+ 85 days)
27/09/2006 (today) + 92 days
Soon we'll have 10.4.8, and then probably around 3 months later 10.4.9 (January?). I doubt Apple will release 10.4.10, they could but I don't think they ever did it with another OS.
I thought first that it could mean that Leopard would be early, but I don't think so (spring 2007 is March 21 - June 21).

It's funny how the capitalists are all for a free market...until it starts working against them.
DING DING DING we have a winner.
Yeah, downloads 'might' be less expensive to sell, because you have no B&M store, no packaging, no shipping, etc etc. But downloads have their costs too: servers (lots of them), bandwidth (lots of it), etc etc. Totally different delivery mechanisms, but doesn't automatically mean that one is cheaper than the other to 'deliver'.
Target and Wal-Mart and other big box stores occasionally fight small communities for the free market 'right' to open a store. But they bitch and moan when someone new sells a similar product in a new and innovative way.
Should work both ways, guys - an equal market is an equal market. Unless you want competitors to be less 'equal' than you. (not very eloquent, but you get the drift).
There is a brand new Target open just a couple miles from me... that I haven't been tempted yet to step foot into. Target's stance on this issue seals the deal... I won't be venturing into that shiny brand new store.

Dont you think that chip would be a little to hot... :D . Well, I fully agree with OS X being the best. But the OS and the quality apps are all that is going for apple. Apple lacks speed, but I cant blame apple for that (stupid moto ), but I can blame them for not dumping moto a long time ago. If apple computer were just as fast as PCs there is no way I would think about getting near a 'peecee', but they arent as fast :(...

I'm ashamed I work for them. I've always considered Target the "good guys" Wal-mart but the more I get a taste for their corporate side (retail as well as pharmacy) I'm less impressed day by day.

I just bought a Presonus FireBox, but I'm having some problems with it..
Does the Firebox work on another computer?
Do other Firewire devices work on your computer?
Until you can say "Yes" to both, there is the chance that something is broken.

So I am having my first surgical procedures in *looks at widget* 16 days, and the thing that scares me the most is the general anesthesia...
I've looked at sites about it, but they don't walk through the whole procedures and what you feel like after etc...
Is it all IV? Gas?
What do you feel like when you come to?
*scared*

I've read that the NEW 13" MBP is having Headphone sound issues under Bootcamp... :(

Not everyone in the Netherlands and Germany is happy with it, but T-Mobile has been our exclusive provider of the iPhone 3G and 3GS since their launch and there is no end in sight for us. It would however be very easy and logical for Apple to choose to use T-Mobile in the US, not only because no hardware modification is necessary (I noticed myself last week in Boston that my European iPhone 3G 16GB defaulted to the T-Mobile network or alternatively AT&T when there was no coverage), and it would be a matter of adding an additional country to an existing contract with a company you are already dealing with as opposed to starting from scratch. You Americans may not like it but it is the most logical move for Apple even if it's not the preferred one.

Ok, iPod is fine for a TM.
aiPod and eyePod, That's a bit different.
But POD!!!
So, are Apple going to sue the BBC (amongst other) for having Pod casts? Everytime a member of the media of the celeb mention podcast, are Apple going to chase royalties???
This is really quite close to the mark!
What about the the phrase "2 peas in a pod"?...
It may just be me, but if this continues, I'm going to throw out all my things MAC, and go back to Micr$oft. That's how really ANTI them I'm feeling at the moment.
OI! APPLE LAWERS!!! YEAH YOU!!! Read some Mintzberg, or Mead, or (and I'd strongly advise this) Andrew Bailey. Basically, get those HBS grads out of your org and stop using crappy outdated Business School Methods. It was once the way to go. But what they don't consider are Gender and Cultures! You wanna piss me off: You loose my custom.
Sorry for the moan, but the litigation era was over in the 90's.
It's about Love Marks now, and your Lawers are hurting your brand!!! Fix it before it's too late!

You're right,
It doesn't work for me either.
I haven't looked at this for ages, extremeoverclocking probably changed their xml design. I'll see what I can do, but I can't promisse you a fast solution. My daughter and studies take up most of my time right now.
I'll post a working version in this thread, when I come to it. If you'd like to take over development however, feel free to do so.
Thanks for trying the widget :)
thanks. yeah i know this is an old topic, but i'm new to folding, and some people still have this linked in their sigs (that's how i found it)
as much as i'd love to work on this, i'm still new to programming as well. taking a java class now. so i don't think i would get much done.
