HTML is a markup "language". It can't be used for dynamic stuff like that. To write to a file you need a server side scripting language, as client side stuff can't do that (unless maybe you're using a Java applet). Take a look at php.net for more info...

Coconut Battery says it has a full charge (5020 or something), but the battery only lasts around 3-4 hours. Is this typical? It's got around 950 cycles.

Anyone run into an issue with 4.31 where if they orient the phone sideways it
sometimes won't orient the display sideways unless you flip it over the other side?
I wonder if that's a bug since it never happened prior to 4.3.

Has anybody else not been able to get to ITS? I've been trying to connect, and it gives me the old "Make sure your internet connection is active and try again later" spiel. Anybody else? I'd really like to start renting movies; maybe everyone else does too, or Comcast is violating Net neutrality and not letting me load the page.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see iOS 5 offering us too much at this point.
I wouldn't mind a new map app- yesterday I got lost, my car GPS sent me on a goose chase, and my iPhone didn't help much.

Not necessarily. ACT UP was a very aggressive group in the 80's that used that motto to bring attention to the AIDS crisis. I didn't like them or their tactics much at all at the time either. But you know what? It worked. They definitely served their purpose and are responsible for bringing serious attention to HIV/AIDS. Because you know what? Some of you by now may have noticed I always seem to have Michael Jackson or South Park wallpapers (Okay, I doubt any of you have noticed because I'm not well known) but I can't wait for his new album out in two weeks! (My wallpaper is part of the cover... had to crop it for my desktop size)

In order for this (and all) Ponzi scheme to stay afloat, there must be more and more payers or more income from each individual payer to ensure the pyramid stays intact. Guilty as charged, which I indicated by adding 'supposed' to the post you quoted. This is not for lack of research, but rather due to the lack of forthcomingness from Apple. Most companies would have stated what the issue was, the corrective steps being taken to address it, and an apology for the massive (10 months out of an avg 12 month product life:eek:) delay. Apple ? Nothing, nada, zip, zilch....and that was one of the many disgraces I alluded to originally. Making a promice, not delivering on it for 10 months, and not being open as to the reason(s) why = DISGRACEFUL and DISGUSTING
There is a big difference between making a few samples to show and circulate and real en masse production.
There are also issues with white products that only show up after a certain amount of time.
White tends to have aluminum oxide pigments and in many cases light inhibitors. Depending on the material used there may have been a delayed photo mechanical reaction.
That especially, when several layers of white are used.
But I am only guessing, the real issues are only know to Apple.
Apple is a preeemint designer of consumer electronics in the World, in fact based on market cap, they are the second most valuable company in the United States. They are not some bush league designers, that much is certain. Apple had 6 months to find this issue, SIX MONTHS - plenty of time I think to do pre-produciotn runs and to identify the issue. The white iPhone 4 should never had graced Steve Jobs Keynote unless that were sure they could deliver it in a TIMELY manner. The fact that is did is another disgrace of the White iPhone 4.

How do I get the cool weather widgets like that?
New to Apple Computers! On my first one now and wanna do a little bit of customizing it! I just bought it Saturday!
He did it with an app called geektool. It takes a little know how to do, but there are plenty of dummy proof guides on youtube.
I used to use geektool until I got a few Kernal panics and I noticed my mac taking a performance hit from it. Be careful when your messing with system tweaks!

If he is running on the Macbook Pro, Bigadvs wont work.
Is this the Macbook Pro we are talking about? Also, what folding client are you using? The system preferences pane? How often do you close the lid, put it to sleep, or shut it down?
It is a MacBook Pro i7 it stays on 24/7 and always sits on my desk I rarely transport it anywhere. So leaving the application running won't be a problem
and yes I am using the system preference pane
