Torn between the Khans?

Wondering why actress Kareena Kapoor’s missing from superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s side during the promotion of their forthcoming release Ra.One? Apparently, she is shooting with the other Khan — Salman for their film Bodyguard which prevents her from taking part in Shah Rukh Khan's film promotion till she completes the shooting schedule.

“Kareena Kapoor is sad that she hasn’t been able to join Shah Rukh in promoting the movie as she’s very excited about the film. She’s really unhappy that she couldn’t join Shah Rukh when he went to Delhi to promote the film,” says a source. Sources also say that the unveiling of the song Chammak Challo has been delayed and will be unveiled only when Kareena joins them in the promotion. Kareena apparently has already spoken to Shah Rukh about it. “Everything is fine. Shah Rukh knows that Kareena will join him as soon as she is done and she has already allotted dates for the film.

She’s ready to accommodate any number of days Shah Rukh needs for the film,” says another source.

So when does Kareena Kapoor plan to join Shah Rukh? “She is shooting for Salman right now and is not allowed to leave the shooting in-between. But the way things stand right now, she’ll be completing the current outdoor schedule soon and will join Shah Rukh as he is planning a long tour for the movie promotion,” the source adds.

When contacted, Kareena’s spokesperson said, “She’ll be joining Shah Rukh soon for the promotions and that will happen as soon as she finishes the schedule of Bodyguard. She’s quite excited with the way the film has turned out.”

Kareena waxed..

First, London's Madame Tussauds's mails were flooded with mails from fans of Kareena Kapoor, requesting the museum to feature a wax replica of their heartthrob. Unable to refuse and understanding its necessary they approached the B-town lady to get her wax model done, thus letting her join the league of popular celebs whose wax statues are at Tussauds, including Big B, SRK, Salman, Hrithik and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

This also means she'll break the record of Aishwarya being the only Bollywood actress whose wax model is displayed at Tussauds.

Later came the news, as a blow to Bebo's fans that Kareena's wax model may not happen after all due to a row between her brand manager and Tussauds's event management company.

But now, it has been confirmed by our birdies close to the actress that the wax model is already done and she also made a check on it this week!

It is also said that the waxwork will be unveiled on our Independence Day, on August 15-16, that also involves Saif Ali Khan's birthday.

Looks like this Independence Day will be a treat to Bebo's fans worldwide..

Wanna be my chammak challo

Seems like Shahrukh Khan’s Ra.One just can’t stop being in the news. The audio track titled ‘Wanna be my Chammak Challo’ was recently leaked online. The song has been sung by the international singing sensation Akon. Interestingly, Kareena Kapoor would be doing an item number on the same song.

If the buzz is to be believed, Shahrukh wants this song to beat the likes of Sheila and Munni. Another buzz is that Akon has composed two different versions of Chammak Challo - the first one being the version that would feature in Ra.One and the second one would be for Akon’s private album. Although, it is still not clear which version has been leaked online.

The bad news for the makers is that now the full song is available online along with its lyrics!!

There were rumours that Deepika Padukone was approached for this item number. Kareena quite clearly dismissed the rumours and said that the song was an integral part of the movie and there was no question of approaching another actress. Kareena recently revealed her look for this item number. She would be seen in a sexy Indian look and will sport a nose-ring and earrings (jhumkas).

But with the song getting leaked online, it may be robbed of its novelty. Seems like Shahrukh Khan has to use his Ra.One superpowers to control the situation now! Go for it, G.One!

Aishwarya in Madhur's "Heroine"

Madhur Bhandarkar didn’t let his dream wash away. His ambitious project "Heroine" will roll soon and that too with Aishwarya Rai in lead. Now, the director can’t stop counting his blessings.

Finally "Heroine" gets its actress. This much-awaited project was riding high on buzz courtesy Kareena Kapoor. Bebo first said yes to the film and later said no. The speculations were rife that the story of "Heroine" resembles her real love story with Saif Ali Khan and also her character required to do steamy scenes in the film, something that was not acceptable to the actress.

After Kareena walked out from the film, Madhur approached Aishwarya with the script. But Ash too had apprehensions about it. So, Madhur decided to work again on his script. The director confesses that he has now ‘structured’ the script keeping Ash in mind.

Madhur regrets not having Kareena, his original choice, in the film but has now moved on. The director reveals, “I feel it is jinxed for me to think of Kareena doing any of my films, as due to some or the other reason, it never materialises.” Kareena was also his first choice for Page 3 and Fashion.

The announcement of "Heroine" will be made in Cannes, says Aishwarya Rai, who will start shooting for it next month. The film will be shot in a single, two-month long shooting schedule.

Priyanka bonds with Saif ??

Priyanka Chopra is a friendly girl so recently when she was shooting at a studio no too far from where the Agent Vinod sets are, the actress decided to pay a visit to Saif Ali Khan and the rest of the gang. Luckily for her, Kareena Kapoor was not on set otherwise her brief tour and catch up with everyone may not have gone so smoothly.

Kareena is adamant that she has no problem with Priyanka being around Saif as she feels very secure in their relationship; Kareena does seem to be the only girl for Saif if their behavior is anything to go by but this doesn’t stop the animosity between the two girls.

Kareena and Priyanka Chopra have never been friends, in fact it seems as though they can barely tolerate each other with the final nail in the coffin being the alleged relationship that once was between Priyanka and Kareena’s ex Shahid Kapoor.

"I won't kiss on screen" : SRK

All the talk of Shahrukh Khan all set to kiss Kareena Kapoor in Ra.One has turned out to be mere rumour. King Khan says kissing his heroines is something he’ll never do.

“I don't kiss on screen because I don't know how to do it. I don't do it because I feel weird...and I feel those who do it in films, do it well already,” Shah Rukh told reporters on Friday. The superstar was at a press conference meant for the formal announcement of Tag Heuer's tie-up with Buddh International Circuit, the host of Formula One in India.

In his career, we have seen Shahrukh doing many things, even the silly ones, just to entertain his fans. But there are two things the superstar says he will never do. What are they?

“I feel discomfort in doing two things for films. When anyone comes to narrate a story to me, I tell them two things - main ghoda nahin chalaunga aur main choomunga nahin (I won't ride a horse and I won't kiss),” added the 45-year-old.

Would SRK kiss on screen?

Shahrukh Khan is finally ready to get intimate with his female co-stars, it seems. Or maybe he’s making an exception because the film happens to be his dream project Ra.One.

The latest buzz sweeping through tinsel town is that Shahrukh is going to kiss Kareena Kapoor in Ra.One. It’s not clear if it would be a full-on smooch or just a perfunctory peck on Bebo’s cheek. What’s clear though is that Shahrukh is game to inject as much verve and oomph into Ra.One with which he hopes to raise the bar of entertainment in Bollywood.

Interestingly, Shahrukh has so far not locked lips with any actress, though an edited out scene from My Name Is Khan had him locking lips with a man.

Kareena, on the other hand, has kissed a number of stars like Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan (obviously). And since Shahrukh happens to be one of her favourite actors, we’re sure she would be looking forward to pucker up with King Khan.

When Ranveer met Saif !!

Ranveer Singh, who has the title of drama king in industry circles because he is so melodramatic when he meets stars/filmmakers, continues with his antics.

He has told the world that he likes Kareena Kapoor; and she's the one he idolised during puberty. What comes as a surprise though is that Ranveer actually broke into a song when he spotted Saif Ali Khan at his gymnasium.

Apparently, Ranveer told Saif about this particular song in his film Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl and then he went on to sing it and even did a little jig in front of the Junior Nawab of Pataudi. Saif, of course, applauded the young actor. It is not everyday that cool as a cucumber Saif bumps into the extra enthusiastic types like Ranveer.

"Saifeena to tie the knot"

After Lara-Mahesh and Anurag-Kalki, it is Saifeena's turn to tie the knot.

Talks are that Saif is contemplating when to make the announcement public. We hear that the news will be made public post the release of "Agent Vinod", a movie close to Saif's heart.

We hear that Saifu has already popped the question and that he is ready to take the big leap into marriage. It is Kareena who has to revert with the date and time.

Kareena is known to have a great bond with Saifu's family.

Kareena tattoo still intact

Radio channels in Delhi reported this morning that Saif Ali Khan had lasered off the famous "Kareena" tattoo on his arm.

So has Love Aaj Kal lost the Aaj in it?

Rubbish, said a representative for the actor when contacted in Mumbai.

Just last month, Saif's mother, noted actor Sharmila Tagore, said that she's very fond of his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, and that while she'd like to see the couple married, it's really upto them to decide when, since they are both professionals on top of their careers.

Kareena and Saif have been dating for almost three and a half years. Both say that while they look forward to getting married, they're both currently busy with their careers.

They're also co-starring in Agent Vinod, a new film being produced by Saif.

Saif to remove his "Kareena" tattoo

Kareena Kapoor is very upset these days as her beau Saif Ali Khan will soon remove ‘Kareena’ tattoo from his wrist. Saif inked the tattoo in his hand when his love for Bebo was at the peak. Though laser treatment, he is going to eliminate the tattoo from his wrist. It is believed that when Bebo learnt about Saif’s decision, she moved into tears.

Saif’s tattoo was very evident and he never tried to hide it even during his film shoots. He feels that it is a symbol of love and that he would never get rid of it. Now the question that arises is what went wrong with Saif that he all of a sudden decided to get rid of the tattoo.

It is also heard that Saif Ali Khan has found a new love and so he is going to eradicate ‘Kareena’ tattoo.

Well, only time will tell what is the real reason?

When Imran visited the Taj !

The Taj Mahal is on every couple’s must-see list. Imran Khan, who tied the knot with girlfriend Avantika Malik earlier this year, is looking forward to his first visit to the monument. But it will be with Katrina Kaif, his Mere Brother Ki Dulhan co-star.

A source associated with the film says, “When director Zafar Ali was discussing the Delhi-Agra outdoor, Imran asked if they’d be shooting at the Taj since he’s never been there before.”

Zafar is filming his most romantic track near the famous monument. Says the source, “The idea of the song is to celebrate love. And since most of the film is set in the North, what better backdrop than the Taj Mahal that was built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his queen, Mumtaz.”

Imran wrapped up a scedule of Shakun Batra’s Short Term Shaadi with Kareena Kapoor this weekend. He’s currently in Delhi to film a couple of scenes and songs with Katrina for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan before heading to Agra.

Says Imran, “Never mind if my first visit to one of the world’s seven wonders is for work. I’m still very excited.” However, wife Avantika Malik won’t be around as she doesn’t accompany him on shoots. But the actor plans to return to the Taj Mahal with her some day soon. He says, “I’d sure like to go there with her. But there is too much work for now. We can take a holiday any time later.”

Kareena enraged at Deepika

Kareena lost five kilos for Ra.One's Chamak Challo song in order to look fit and fab like Munni and Sheila.

What is however driving the actress crazy is Deepika's supposed claims that she was the first choice for the song instead.

Kareena who plays the lead in the film is startled over Deepika's claims. Bebo believes Deepika is doing it just to grab some cheap publicity for her item song Dum Maaro Dum which has not gone down too well with the audiences.

The actress suspects it is Deepika herself who has been spreading the rumours.

Director Anubhav Sinha too has clarified that Deepika was never considered for the song as it is not even an item number which an outsider would perform. The song is a part of the film and thus the lead actress would have to be in it which is Kareena.

We have found out, Kareena plays Shah Rukh Khan's wife in the film. She is also a mother of an- eight -year old son.

Shahid dating the MTV tattoo girl

Though unlucky in his previous love affairs, seems like the ‘Kaminey’ hero Shahid Kapoor follows the proverb ‘try and try until you succeed’ a bit too religiously and as such does not wish to give up the chase for his dream girl.

Well, after separating from his first girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, Sasha was dating the ‘Kaminey’ actress Piggy Chops. But in no time, he broke off with his second girlfriend Priyanka too, and now he is apparently spending quality time with VJ Bani.

Tabloids have it that the B-town chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor was caught letting his hair down with his alleged third girlfriend VJ Bani at a nightspot in Bandra, late Thursday night.

Sasha dates Bani?

The rumored lovebirds, Shahid and Bani were spotted dining and chitchatting at the Bandra nightclub for almost an hour.

In a conversation, an observer said, "Shahid was accompanied by a male friend and the very popular VJ - Bani J.

“Shahid and Bani were having their meal and were seen joking around and having a gala time. Both were there for an hour while having their meal. Bani even emptied a few drinks and all three of them left together."

VJ Bani confirms the reports

Sasha’s new muse VJ Bani, who apparently seems to be unmoved with the link-up gossips, confirmed the news about dining with the actor and said that both, she and Shahid were feeling hungry, so had they planned to dine together.

While addressing the media, Bani said, "I was eating out with Shahid. We go to the same gym, and at times our work-out schedules coincide. We just felt a bit hungry that day and decided to have a meal."

Kareena prefers Nayan over Asin

Siddique’s Kaavalan is being remade as Bodyguard in Hindi. Salman Khan will be the hero and Kareena Kapoor has been selected for the female lead. Apparently, director Siddique gave her DVDs of the original version in Malayalam also called Bodyguard as well as Kaavalan so that she will get an idea of what is expected from her.

After watching both DVDs Kareena was simply blown away by Nayanthara’s powerful portrayal. She said that she preferred Nayanthara’s performance to Asin’s and will draw her inspiration from the Malayalam version.

The movie is also going to be remade in Telugu and Nayanthara has been asked to reprise her role again. She must be very pleased indeed with the compliments that she is getting!

Kareena to play Mandakini

Bebo might play the role of the yesteryear Bollywood actress Mandakini for the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai

Ekta Kapoor is all set to make her sequel to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai a grand affair. So after roping in Akshay Kumar to play the lead role of Dawood in the sequel, Ekta Kapoor is now planning to get in Kareena Kapoor as the female lead. Interestingly Kareena's role will be modeled on the lines of yesteryear actress Mandakini, who was supposedly Dawood Ibrahim's muse.

While the makers insist that the sequel will be story of Shoaib (played by Emraan Hashmi in the first part) over Dawood Ibrahim, they had made similar claims that Sultaan Mirza's character was not modeled on lines of Haji Mastan, though we all know the truth now.

So while on one side director Milan Luthria is making Vidya Balan play Silk Smitha, on the other side he will make Kareena Kapoor play Mandakini. Incidentally Kareena Kapoor was to work with Milan Luthria years back in Chori Chori but opted out due to date problems and the role eventually went to Rani Mukherji.

More interestingly Mandakini's solo claim to fame in Bollywood is her under-the-waterfall-in-transparent-white-outfit scene from Ram Teri Ganga Maili which was directed by Kareena Kapoor's grandfather Raj Kapoor.

Ileana D'Cruz: Second highest paid actress in India

Yes, we mean "dearest" in both senses: beloved and costly. Ileana D'Cruz makes her comeback in Kollywood with Shankar's 'Nanban'. The actress sure does want to make her presence felt on her return to Kollywood. She began by demanding Rs. 2 crores remuneration for the movie, the highest pay packet ever demanded by a South Indian actress.

The shocked producers, Gemini Film Circuit, were unwilling to pay the record amount, but realised that unless they negotiated with her, the successful Ileana would give them the slip. Finally, they agreed on Rs. 1.5 crores, which is still the highest remuneration for any actress in South India.

Ileana's popularity has multiplied in Tollywood, as she is appearing in 'Shakti' opposite Junior NTR. The movie holds the record for being the costliest movie ever made in Tollywood. The actress was able to leverage this popularity and demand more in Tollywood, which resulted in her next project being signed for 1.75 crores and another in Bollywood for 2 crores.

Her Kollywood comeback movie is a remake of the Hindi blockbuster'3 Idiots'. Ileana will reprise the role of Pia (which was originally played by Kareena Kapoor). Call it coincidence or the quality of the character, Kareena was recently announced as the costliest actress in Bollywood, after she was paid Rs. 7 crores for her role in 'Golmaal 3'.

Ranveer embarrasses Kareena

She's comfy spilling secrets about her relationship, flaunting her size zero bod in a bikini and doing bold scenes onscreen. But then there's something that can embarrass Kareena Kapoor. An over-zealous fan spotted her at a studio, and couldn't stop gushing about her.

While you must be wondering what's different about this fan, we'll tell you that he's no ordinary one. He's none other than the new toast of the season – Ranveer Singh. Talking to zoOm in an exclusive, Kareena revealed, "Sometime ago, I met him at Yashraj studious and he was so excited on seeing me that he started jumping like a little kid. I had to tell him to calm down and take a deep breath.

I also quickly looked around to see that no one was watching us. I don't remember the last time I was so embarrassed." Of course, she did say that she's heard great things about him, but hasn't seen his movie. Now Ranveer, even we really think you should hold your breath, there's still a long time before you work with this Kapoor gal.

Saifeena to tie the knot, says Sharmila Tagore

While there is no specific date announced yet, a source close to Saif said that the actor will wait till the release of his upcoming production Agent Vinod, which also stars Kareena.

The Sriram Raghavan-directed superspy flick Agent Vinod is scheduled to release on December 9 and Saif, producer and hero of the film, is going all-out to ensure a lavish, state-of-the-art thriller. Portions of the film have already been shot in quaint locations such as Morocco and Latvia.

"Saif is too busy on the career front to get married right away.

He is currently on a long outdoor schedule for Prakash Jha's Aarakshan . Once that is through, he will shift focus back on wrapping up the shooting of Agent Vinod and then concentrate on the film's post-production and pre-release publicity campaign.

Since she is the heroine of the film, Kareena will be occupied with the publicity process of Agent Vinod , too. Marriage can only happen after the film releases, unless they decide on a quick, secret wedding sometime in between," said the source.

Come to think of it, Saif's first wedding - to Amrita Singh in October 1991 - was a quick, secret affair, too. Not even his parent had a whiff of the hush-hush marriage till afterwards.

Sources feel it is unlikely that Saif and Kareena would go for a secret wedding. "For one, Kareena herself is quite busy.Her date diary is packed with several big assignments this year," said the source.

No bikinis for Kareena

The only thing worth remembering in Tashan (2008) was Kareena Kapoor sizzling in a bikini but she is still not comfortable with the ‘sexy’ tag. The actor admits that she was definitely embarrassed recently during a shoot of Bodyguard on a college campus, when some young girls sent her notes saying they found her sexy. She prefers being called glamorous and says being glam comes naturally to her.

Thin is ‘in’ but the actor, who made size zero famous three years ago, would rather be vulnerable and voluptuous now. “I’m still slim but no longer stick-thin and that works better for me. Let the other heroines lose weight now since I’ve decided I’m not going to be wearing a bikini on screen ever again,” insists Kapoor, who has been voted Bollywood’s sexiest heroine by a leading film glossy, owned by media baron Nari Hira.

The focus today is on performance-driven roles and her look will be differently sensual in the five films she is currently juggling. In RA.One, she’s Shah Rukh Khan’s sexy wife. “Very Punjabi,” she laughs. Agent Vinod’s mystery miss also doesn’t shed clothes. “Her sex appeal lies in her eyes,” says Kapoor. Bodyguard’s Divya is “innocently sexy” and Short Term Shaadi’s Tiara “crazily sexy”. As for the Aamir Khan thriller, she can’t talk about that at all.

Kapoor, who had to bring in Valentine’s Day a day early because beau Saif Ali Khan flew back to Bhopal to play a scheduled caste professor in Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan based on the thorny reservation policy, admits that Khan finds her kajal-streaked eyes and spiky-heeled stilettos hot. “The kohl I wear often since it lights up my eyes and after Qurbaan (2009), 3 Idiots (2009) and Golmaal 3 (2010), has come to be associated with me. But the stilettos are only for holidays. For every day wear, it’s track pants and chappals, and Saif has no choice but to accept it,” she chuckles.

Buzz is that she may be roped in to play a character modelled on Mandakini in the sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The actor says that if she likes it, she will take it up as a challenge. “It was one of last year’s best films after 3 Idiots but I haven’t got any offer yet. Tusshar (producer Ekta Kapoor’s actor-brother) is my best friend but we don’t talk shop,” she says, adding that Mandakini became a sex symbol after the famous waterfall scene in her grandfather Raj Kapoor’s Ram Teri Ganga Maili (’85). “But I don’t think the role, if it develops, will be along those lines.”
