Babe for Saguni !

All the heroines in tinsel town are dying to work with the hot and happening Karthi, and they were all considered for the female lead in Saguni. But Shriya Saran is the lucky lady who has landed the part. She is pleased to be sharing screen space with a livewire like Karthi.

Kannada babe Praneetha, who will be seen in Arulnidhi’s Udayan is also being considered for a part in Saguni. Apparently, Saguni is a two-heroine project and is being directed by newcomer Shankar Dayal for the banner Dream Warrior Projects with music composition by GV Prakash Kumar.

Saguni is touted to be a racy political drama with twists and turns designed to keep the audience guessing till the end. It would also have actress Radhika Sarathkumar who will be seen on the big screen in a meaty role after a very long time.

Heroes waiting for Gowtham . .

Gautham Menon’s next project in Tamil is the hot topic for discussion in Kollywood as the director is very busy with 'Prem Katha' the Hindi remake of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson playing roles that were originally played by Silambarasan and Trisha.

The Director's next project has become a hot topic as 'Prem Katha' is expected to be wrapped soon and his Tamil venture is now in question with all due respect to his films from Minnale to Nadunisi Naigal.

It is said that Gautham now has a wonderful action-based script and is looking for a suitable hero to play the lead role and Kollywood’s youngest heroes Arya, Karthi and Jiiva are vying with each other to lap up this role to boost their careers to the next level.

Karthi post Saguni ?

Karthi has been brilliant enough to choose the projects that win him critical acclaims and top the box office charts as well. Naturally, it is quite evident with the brand of filmmakers he has worked that comprises of A-league directors and newcomers as well. Right now, the actor is busy shooting for his next film 'Saguni' being directed by newbie Shankar Dayal. The film is reported to be a quickie that will be wrapped in 70 days. While everyone is wondering what could be Karthi's next project, it is reported that he is likely to join hands with Suraaj.

It is worth mentioning that much prior to the release of 'Mappillai', both Karthi and Suraaj had planned for the project that was touted to be a commercial entertainer. Nevertheless with the results of 'Mappillai' turning out to be unfavorable, calls on airs were that the project may not happen. But now it looks like everything will happen as planned earlier.

The handsome hero Karthi who has carved a niche in the industry with his performances is all set to tie the knot.

The lucky girl is Ranjani a MA Literature gold medalist who is an alumnus of Stella Maris College in Chennai. She is the daughter of Erode Chinnasamy and Jothi Meenakshi.

The marriage has been arranged by the elders of the family. Karthi's brother Suriya is also a popular star and is married to his fellow actress and lover Jyothika.

News is that the couple are to get married on the 3rd July this year and it looks like Karthi is all set to break a million hearts on the his intimate day.

Get up changes . .

In Saguni, Karthi’s next project, he will appear in an all new get-up, sources say. The role in Saguni requires Karthi to sport a very different look and when debut director Shankar Dayal requested him to consider a new look, the star immediately agreed.

Sources in Kollywood say that the director and actor are working on a new look and have a couple of get-ups in mind but have not finalized on anything. It is said that Karthi is keen on making a mark among the movie buffs and will come out with a look that would please all.

Karthi back with "Saguni"

Three days back we had broke the news that Karthi is signing his next film with debutant director Shankar Dayal.

Today it is officially announced that the film is being titled Saguni.

Earlier, Karthi in an interview to a newspaper said: "Shankar's story was very impressive. My characterisation will also be quiet neat. It will be a satire on society and the script has several interesting elements to make it entertaining."

The story, screenplay, dialogue and direction of Saguni are by Shankar Dayal. GV Prakash will be the music director and the movie will have cinematography by PG Muthiah, art by Rajeevan and editing by Antony. The heroine and rest of the cast will be finalised soon.

Saguni is being made under the banner Team Warrior Pictures and the shooting will start this month.
