Kashmera, Sambhavna, Celina Jaitley on KKK 4

Apart from Vindu Dara Singh’s wife Dina and MTV VJ Bani, supposedly the new girl in actor Shahid Kapoor’s life, we’ve stumbled across at least four other names in contention for the Season Four of Khatron Ke Khiladi. One of them is actor-dancer Kashmera Shah who was last seen semi-nude on a calendar, and on Love Lock-Up with boyfriend Krushna Abhishek.

Kashmera, along with another actor Aarti Chhabria, last seen in a desi avatar in the Manoj Bajpayee starrer, Dus Tola, and model Diandra Soares are expected to up the glam quotient.

The sixth name who was in the list of probables is Mauli Dave, discovered in 2007 on Zee TV’s reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and touted by judge Bappi Lahiri as the Indian Shakira.

Besides these six, seven other so-called celebrities are being lined up for Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar. It will see actor Akshay Kumar return as the anchor after a break last season when Priyanka Chopra came on to up the fear factor with 13 daring dudes.
If the buzzvine is to be believed, talks for the Colors show are on with Pakistani model-actor Veena Malik, who made her Indian telly debut in Bigg Boss 4 and model Lisa Hayden who made a big screen beginning in Aisha.

Actors Celina Jaitly, Payal Rohatgi and Shamita Shetty, item girl Sambhavna Seth and badminton player Jwala Gutta are some of the others. Actor-anchor Maria Goretti, who is Arshad Warsi’s wife, fashion designer Masaba Gupta who is Neena Gupta’s daughter and actor Shaurya Chauhan have apparently turned down the show. A channel insider informs that since Rakhi Sawant dropped out, Kashmera Shah stepped in.

The show goes on the floors around April 20 in Cape Town, South Africa, and will be shot in a start-to-finish 20-odd day schedule. It will go on air towards the end of May or the first half of June. Contracts are expected to be sealed by the end of the week.

Sudhir Mishra files a complaint against Payal

Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra has personally delivered a complaint letter against model-turned-actress Payal Rohatgi to the Versova police station, last evening.

This "precautionary measure" that a close friend of Mishra refers to, comes in light of the harassing messages and phone calls that the filmmaker received from Rohatgi.

The actress, who accused filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee of making indecent propositions towards her was infuriated by Mishra, who dismissed these allegations in support of the director.

After contemplating on what action to take for several days, Mishra finally decided to bring it to the police's notice yesterday.

The filmmaker's friend adds, "Sudhir got some calls and messages from Payal, after he was vocal about Dibakar's innocence. Since Payal took offence to his support, she started sending messages and calling him up on March 21 and 22. Her messages were quite nasty."

Mishra's friend tells us in detail the content of Rohatgi's messages, which have frazzled the filmmaker.

"The messages went as follows: A) You don't know what happened between me and Dibakar. I would appreciate if you refrain from your comments, as I also can talk. B) Lay off. C) I don't want to work with you. So don't spoil my image. D) Sorry for my last comments. I am a girl, not a piece of meat.

I must have begged 100 times for an audition from you but you didn't listen. But please don't bitch about me as now I won't shut up. E) Now, I hope it's clear.

When we contacted Mishra, an unidentified man answered, saying, "Sudhirji yoga class mein gaye hain." Following this call, his phone was unavailable right until we went to press.

However, Rohatgi answered our query on SMS, "Yes, I had called and messaged Sudhir when he lent support to Dibakar.

The messages you are reading out to me are stored on my mobile and I don't deny them. But did I do any wrong? I was disturbed with the way he and Anurag Kashyap were supporting Dibakar. I even gave an interview in a film glossy talking about them.

Thereafter, Sudhir had also apologised to me. Now, Sudhir has again taken up the issue after 12-13 days. Why? Ab kya hai? I think these directors are mad."

Rohatgi added, "You know what - after you sent me a text, I asked Sudhir if he had gone to the police and he denied!"

However, DCP Zone IX, K M M Prasanna, confirmed, "Yes, Sudhir Mishra has given us an application letter, wherein he states that Payal Rohatgi has been sending him intimidating messages. We shall be looking into the matter."

Casting Couch exists: Payal Rohatgi

It all started with actress Payal Rohatgi coming out in the open and accusing director Dibaker Banerjee of asking for s**ual favours from her in return of a movie role.

Dibaker denied the casting couch accusations slammed against him and supporting him were filmmakers Anurag Kashyap and Sudhir Mishra.

In Dibaker's defence, Anurag said, "Incidents like these keep happening. I get around 50 such messages from actors everyday and this is precisely the reason why we have casting directors today who decide the casting."

Sudhir Mishra said, "I stand by Dibaker. As far as valid directors are concerned, I can vouch for them as I don't think 'casting couch' exists. If at all it does, I have not seen it."

Mumbai Mirror had reported yesterday that filmmaker Sudhir Mishra had personally delivered a complaint letter against model-turned-actress Payal Rohatgi to the Versova police station, last evening as a "precautionary measure" in the wake of some intimidating phone calls and messages he had been getting from Payal.

The messages went as follows: A) You don't know what happened between me and Dibakar.

Reacting to the quoted messages in Mumbai Mirror, Payal's publicist Avantika clarified with TOI saying, "The content of those messages are absolutely correct but they are in no way threatening or intimidating as they are made out to be. Payal is going to have a press conference today afternoon where she will speak about Sudhir allegedly filing a police complaint against her in the police station."

Avantika added, "After Sudhir intervened in what was between Payal and Dibaker, Payal did call up Sudhir to ask as to why he was intervening in the matter when he didn't know what had happened. The messages sent to him said the same. Sudhir reverted to Payal's texts by apologizing for his intervention and Payal let it go. After things were sorted, he goes and files a police complaint! When Payal asked him if he did file a complaint, he says no! We have his message for the record saying he hasn't filed the complaint. We are going to produce it to the media. If he claims to be threatened what took him almost 12 days to take an action! Was he sleeping over it!"

Meanwhile, Payal has also tweeted, "Sudhir mishra traitor or unstable. After apologising to me files a police complaint that I am threatening him. When I ask him says no. God who is unstable? I am going to be speaking to media at 3pm regarding sudhir mishra issue and put an end to all this nonsense. This entire gang is after my blood."

Payal's publicist Avantika concludes, "Payal is not a publicity hound. She has better things to do. She will speak to the media later in the day and will do group bytes."

Did Payal take her top off?

In a startling development, the issue of the casting couch in Bollywood is yet again under the scanner. Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi has accused film-maker Dibakar Banerjee, of Love Sex aur Dhokha fame, of trying to take advantage of her in lieu of a role in his upcoming movie.
According to Payal, four months ago, she messaged the film-maker to introduce herself as an actress. Since then, they became good friends and also ended up speaking about their personal relationship problems. Payal points out, "I used to consult him over my career. You can call him my mentor. We became good friends. We spoke about our lives and relationships. We also spoke about my relationship with Rahul Mahajan. He also mentioned that his marriage was not going great."

Payal rues, "The problem arose when I spoke to Dibakar about giving me a role in his upcoming movie, Shanghai. He asked me to meet his casting director. I went for an audition. I had to act like a woman who had just received news of her husband's demise. However, after doing it, i felt heavy at heart. I called Dibakar and narrated it to him. I also told him to my house in the meanwhile."

According to Payal, since Dibakar had been to her house earlier, she did not hesitate to call him home this time as well. Payal says, "Dibakar came to my house and commented that I had gained weight. He asked me to lift my shirt and show him my stomach. I didn't like it. I told him I was in no mood for jokes. But he did not agree. I told him to leave."
Payal alleges that since then whenever she called up Dibakar, he would not reply. After some days, Payal says she got to know that the role for which she had auditioned went to someone else. Payal feels that since she did not give in to Dibakar's demands, she was ousted from the casting process.
Dibakar Banerjee clarifies, "Payal called me around March this year. She told me she wanted to do meaningful films. I met her at the business centre of a 5 star hotel and told her she would have to give a screen test. Her messages conveyed her intentions. I told her if I wanted to cheat on my wife, I would have had an extra marital affair with a non-star. Just for casting someone in my film, I don't need to have a physical relationship with the person and go against my principles."

According to Dibakar, the two also spoke several times after this incident. He constantly advised her on her choice of films. He also asked her to keep on doing acting workshops and theatre. The film-maker says, "I also came to know that Payal sent such messages to other directors as well. I still had offered her an audition for my film. She wanted to meet me before the auditions but I refused. Post her audition, she told me how she was overwhelmed at having played a recently widowed woman. I thought of taking her to my friend's studio. So, I went to her house. I stayed there for a little while. There was no tension between us. We discussed her weight. But there was no talk of lifting her skirt."
Dibakar also added that post that incident, Payal tried to contact him several times to know about the result of the audition. He says, "Her messages were very angry. She called my casting director in the middle of the night in fury. After that, we put an end to all of this. It was my mistake that I took it seriously when she said she wants to do meaningful films."
Dibakar Banerjee has made films like 'Khosla ka Ghosla', 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!' and 'Love Sex aur Dhokha'.
