Actor Raja Chaudhary was released on bail after he was produced before the Bandra holiday court on Tuesday.
Details of the bail amount was classified.
The Oshiwara police had arrested Chaudhary in a cheating and forgery case on Monday night as he had submitted documents of a resident of the building in which his girlfriend Shraddha Sharma resides to procure a SIM card. Mehul Kansaria, a resident of Castle Tower, told police that Chaudhary got a connection in his name. but provided Kansaria's address for the billing correspondence. Sharma lives in the same building and Chaudhary frequently visit there and he was known to many of the residence.
Since last two months, Kansaria received two mobile bills of Chaudhary and he reported the matter to the police. The officials stated that Kansaria's was tense with the incident as he was fearing that he would be in trouble if Chaudhary misuses his phone. The police called Raja for the questioning and arrested him in the case.
The police stated that Chaudhary might have submitted a document of complainant for the sim stating that he reside there. The police stated that they are collecting the document Chaudhary had submitted which will help them to knew if the documents were forged.
The police are collected information about other cases registered against Chaudhary in various police station in suburb. The officials stated that they faced tough time to handle Chaudhary in custody as he has habit of becoming violent during the questioning.
