Shweta Tiwari to take a dig at Ekta

Kausati girl Shweta Tiwari will do a take-off on mentor Ekta Kapoor in the upcoming episode of Comedy Circus.

While Tusshar Kapoor was judging Comedy Circus till some time back, sister Ekta Kapoor will come as the celebrity judge on this week's episode. Ekta, who will join regular judges Archana Puran Singh and Daler Mehendi, has obviously come to promote her film Ragini MMS . But however much she might try to break clichés and try something different on the big screen with films like Love Sex aur Dhoka, Shor in the City and Ragini MMS , her preset image of the one who initiated television tearjerkers continues to haunt her.

So in the upcoming episode of Comedy Circus Ke Tansen , the theme for the week is 'Television and its ongoing trend'. Revealing the highlight of this week's episode, a source from the show says, "This week Raja Hassan, Raja Sagu and Preeti will be seen leaving no stone unturned in order to amaze Ekta to bag a role in her next film. The next act by Krushna Abhishek, Hard Kaur and Sudesh is about a struggling singer trying her luck for a break in the industry. Sudesh's act dressed like Krushna's mobile phone following him wherever he goes is hilarious".

However the best part of the show will be when Ekta Kapoor's Kausati girl Shweta Tiwari would come face to face with her mentor. "Shweta Tiwari will set pulses rolling when she will do a standup comedy take-off on Ekta itself", says the source. Also another actor from Ekta camp, Ali Asgar will be performing on the show. Now this is something worth looking forward to.

Raja Chaudhary let out on bail

Actor Raja Chaudhary was released on bail after he was produced before the Bandra holiday court on Tuesday.

Details of the bail amount was classified.

The Oshiwara police had arrested Chaudhary in a cheating and forgery case on Monday night as he had submitted documents of a resident of the building in which his girlfriend Shraddha Sharma resides to procure a SIM card. Mehul Kansaria, a resident of Castle Tower, told police that Chaudhary got a connection in his name. but provided Kansaria's address for the billing correspondence. Sharma lives in the same building and Chaudhary frequently visit there and he was known to many of the residence.

Since last two months, Kansaria received two mobile bills of Chaudhary and he reported the matter to the police. The officials stated that Kansaria's was tense with the incident as he was fearing that he would be in trouble if Chaudhary misuses his phone. The police called Raja for the questioning and arrested him in the case.

The police stated that Chaudhary might have submitted a document of complainant for the sim stating that he reside there. The police stated that they are collecting the document Chaudhary had submitted which will help them to knew if the documents were forged.

The police are collected information about other cases registered against Chaudhary in various police station in suburb. The officials stated that they faced tough time to handle Chaudhary in custody as he has habit of becoming violent during the questioning.

Raja Chaudhary arrested for "Fraud"

Bhojpuri actor Raja Chaudhary was arrested by the Mumbai Oshiwara police after his neighbour filed a complaint last night.

According to sources, the actor had applied for a cell-phone connection in the neighbour's name.

But this isn't the first time that Raja has found himself on the wrong side of the law.

He has made headlines with his abusive relationship with his actress ex-wife Shweta Tiwari, stretched to the point that he even hit her fiance.

Earlier this year, a case had been registered against Chaudhary for 'intending to dishonour' a fellow actor, when Vivek Mishra alleged that Chaudhary tried to touch him "inappropriately" when they were together in latter's flat on February 7.

Seems like it's a lesson never learned.

Shweta Tiwari after Big Boss

Shweta Tiwari has been adding tadka to Bharti Singh and Manish Paul's comic antics on Comedy Circus. However, Shweta's association with the show isn't new. She says, "This isn't my first stint with Comedy circus. This is my third season. This time I am paired with Bharti Singh. I was paired with Rajeev Nigam the first time around and the second one was with Rehman and Anoop Soni. I had a great time in Comedy Circus."

Shweta who shot to fame as Prerna (in Kasauti Zindagi Kay) has often been surrounded by controversies, courtesy her ex husband Raja Chaudhary and the recent one being that she has tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Abhinav Kohli. While silence is what we get on this one, we asked Shweta if she wanted to come back to the Balaji Telefilms camp anytime soon. "I don't mind. I never left the Ekta (Kapoor) camp. After Kasauti, I got other offers and life moved on. We do chat still; there is no enmity between us. But now the trend is that production houses require young girls and if you are 25 plus then you are offered the mother's role. I don't want to become a mother now on small screen again. I am chilling now."

Shweta has now also associated herself with theatre and is busy with her first solo act play Aaine Ke Sau Tukde. "I am doing Aaine ke Sau tukde. It's a solo act. It's a two-hour-long monologue where I am playing 15 different characters. I have completed two shows and people have loved and appreciated it," she signs off.

But the real life changer for this actress has been attributed to her stint in Big Boss. However Shweta denies that her life has seen any change at all. She says, "In fact my life has been the same. The only change that has come is that earlier people used to address me as 'Oh, that's Shweta Tiwari!' or 'Oh, that's Prerna!' But now when they see me they say Shweta beta kaise ho? The rest hasn't changed. I had already given a nod to Comedy Circus but there were some date issues with Big Boss so when I came out, these guys called me back and I said why not!"

So will the audiences get to see her in some more reality shows to which she says, "I am busy with Comedy Circus and the play. I never plan my life; things never go according to my plan.
