Maddy in Actiion!

While everyone thinks that Madhavan doesn’t have a big role in ‘Vettai’ as he plays just the brother’s role of Arya, Lingusamy comes up for the clarification saying that he has a mighty role just like Arya.

Lingusamy says “When I approached Madhavan for the brother’s role, he was quite reluctant as he didn’t want to don such roles, at least not yet. But soon after hearing the script, he apologized on realizing how much he would have regretted for missing this role.

As per sources, there is this particular scene where Madhavan would be chased by a group of baddies rushing behind him towards a subway and pull down the shutter. Madhavan comes up with a punch dialogue saying ‘Dae Enakkae Shuttera? (It is the most important scene in ‘Run’). Mark my words, the theatres will flood with irresistible applause for this scene.”

Stratagem to topspot

Amala Paul has had an enviable career that has seen her come within touching distance of the top spot. She says that her stratagem to stay ahead of the curve is very simple. Rather than sign any and all films that come her way out of insecurity or a need to fatten her bank balance, she prefers to pick and choose.

The Myna babe gives due consideration to the weight of her role, the overall story, and the director. Only when these three factors meet her criteria does she go ahead and sign on the dotted line. Amala Paul currently has Deiva Thirumagal with Vikram, Vettai with Maddy, and Mupozhuthum Un Karpanai with Atharva in her kitty.

Alaipayuthey again . .

The news about Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ shelved has disappointed the fans of Vijay and Mahesh Babu. However, Mani Ratnam’s team members are reportedly happy that he didn’t involve in the project that is profitably not viable.

The latest we hear from the closer sources is Mani Ratnam is glimpsing through three different scripts that he had crafted before the completion of ‘Raavanan’. It looks like his next preference is a breezy rom-com starring newcomers in lead roles. The inside reports mention that audition for new faces is going on at initial levels. However, the technical team will have P.C. Sriram and A.R. Rahman, who are considered as the lucky factors of Mani Ratnam’s films.

Arya in Action!

Lingusamy's Vettai starring Arya and Madhavan is going on in brisk pace. The unit is currently at Pondicherry shooting for an action sequence. Stunt master Selva is choreographing this sequence which has Arya taking on some goons. It is to be noted that a lot of scenes have been canned at Karaikudi with all the four lead stars- Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul. Arya and Madhavan are playing brothers in this movie and rumors are that Madhavan plays a cop.

Looks like Vettai is going to be an action extravaganza true to its name. Lingusamy is best appreciated for his action movies like Run and Sandakozhi and we hope he repeats the success with Vettai and showcase Arya in a complete action role.

Trisha in "Tanu weds Manu" remake

Madhavan is on a high these days as his Tanu Weds Manu was a big hit in Bollywood. Now he has more reason to smile as he has been approached for the remake in Tamil. The actor has agreed since this project is very close to his heart.

The makers have also approached Trisha for the role that Kangna Ranaut did in the original. It is felt that she will be perfect as the rebel who hates tradition and conventionality. There has been no official confirmation yet, but sources reveal that Trisha is quite eager to do the role with one of her earliest co-stars.
