Ra.one Vs Delhi Belly ?

The struggle to outdo each other between actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan is hotting up as both their films —Ra.One and Delhi Belly respectively — are ready to hit the box-office. Members of the film units have begun hurling accusations against each other.

The first direct missive apparently seems to have come from Anubhav Sinha, who’s the director of Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One. At a time when Aamir was hosting a success party for the success of his film’s song, DK Bose, Anubhav said, “I would be ashamed if my nine-year-old son sings that song… Aamir (Khan) is taking people for granted,” Anubhav reportedly said.

Ram Sampath, the music composer of the song, immediately hit back saying, “It's juvenile what Anubhav is saying. The first thing that struck me when I got to know about his comments was that it's sheer hypocrisy.He is being silly. People should get off their high horse that they are riding on and smell the coffee. This is the real world. We have created a song that the Censor Board has passed. How can somebody accuse our song like this? There is no basis,” Sampath reportedly said.

Soon after reports followed of Anubhav having defaulted on his payments by singer, Pratichee (former member of the girl-band Viva). When contacted the singer, it turned out that the singer was Sampath’s sister-in-law. “Anubhav made 50 per cent of the payment for the show (adding that she was commissioned for the project more than a year back). I decided to speak now as there are a lot of newcomers who are suffering because of people like Anubhav. I don’t think I will ever work with him,” said Pratichee, who also admitted to being the sister of singer Sona Mohapatra, Sampath’s wife.

While Shah Rukh’s camp is reportedly seething at this said to be below-the-belt attack, Aamir’s camp has released the film’s promotional song which has been directed by his wife, filmmaker Kiran Rao.

"Bhaag DK Bose" success party

The much talked about success party of the popular song "Bhaag DK Bose" from 'Delhi Belly' kicked off amidst the much awaited Mumbai rains.

Ronnie Screwvala and Kiran Rao thanked everyone present there to have braved the weather to be present there. In fact she added to the ambience and mood. Welcome monsoon.

Aamir Khan who is away shooting in Pondicherry also thanked everyone on the recorded video and regretted missing it.

Soon after that Ram Sampat and his team played unplugged versions of all songs.

Chetan Shashi, singer, of Saighal Blues started the performance. Then it went on to "Penchar Disco" n Ram narrated the history behind the song.

The groove then changed to "Bedardi Raja" and everyone enjoyed its desi touch to the core. And finally the actual '3 Rajas' aka Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal came on stage for the grand finale song "Bhaag DK Bose". The song took an obvious second round on popular public demand!

The evening ended with an unheard rather funny version of "Penchar Disco".

An out and out a funny enjoyable evening with the Delhi Belly team, film releasing on 1st July, 2011.

DK Bose - clever use of profanity

DK Bose...DK Bose...DK Bose...say that repeatedly and you are sure to know which popular cuss word in the street lingo the title refers to.

“Bhaag D.K. Bose”, the song from Aamir Khan’s upcoming production Delhi Belly has already become a rage among the youth, never mind its whacky lyrics about sabun and zhaag. Now, those who didn’t pay much attention to the song’s title earlier are marvelling at the cleverness with which the lyricist has concealed a cuss word therein.

We hear that the song is inspired by Dolly Bindra who was very liberal at hurling profane expletives at the other contestants during her stint on Bigg Boss 4. One of her favourite cuss words, beeped out regularly, was “B**se DK”.

That inspired the creative team of Delhi Belly to come up with the title ‘D K Bose’, and music composer Ram Sampath set it to a killer grunge rock tune.

Well, the headbangers are already having a ball to the wackiest song of the season.

The new Dhoom girl...

If the Dhoom series needs its ladies really hot and sizzling, they have just hit the jackpot. Ranbir Kapoor's 'close friend' and former swimsuit calendar girl Angela Jonsson was found auditioning for the said role in the upcoming Dhoom sequel at the Yash Raj Studios, yesterday.

According to our source from the production house, the model, who has set her eyes on Bollywood (that is, apart from Bollywood's men) was called for an audition at the studio and she was pretty impressive in it. "There have been a lot of auditions going on after Victor and Adi decided to have a new face to star opposite Aamir in Dhoom 3. Angela came in as a part of that process. And she impressed them," said the source.

And why wouldn't she? After all she matches all the pre-conditions of being a Dhoom girl. The ladies who have bagged the coveted role in the previous Dhoom films, namely, Esha Deol, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu had to look extremely stylish and sexy for it.

In fact, Esha had to lose quite a few kilos for the same. "What also worked for the Dhoom makers is that Angela is quite gorgeous and can easily carry off a stylish character. And most importantly despite being a model she is quite short almost ideal for a short person like Aamir. That's why they have had more meetings with her," added the source.

When contacted, Yash Raj Films, known for their tightlipped behaviour until the starcast is finalised on paper, admitted that Angela was there for an audition. However, they denied having signed her for the film.

"We constantly audition new talent and Angela was auditioned for a possible role by our casting department but this was not for any specific project," said the YRF spokesperson and added, "As for whether she is a part of Dhoom 3, YRF is not in discussion with her. We would like to reiterate that the D:3 girl has not been found and the hunt is still on."

Angela did not reply to our SMS either. But it sure looks like the model is doing just the right things in Bollywood.

Romancing The King of Khans . .

After romancing two of the three Khans in Bollywood (Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Salman Khan in London Dreams and Ready), Bollywood and Kollywood's sensational beauty Asin is all set to romance the third but the King of all Khans. Thats right, Asin would be seen romancing Shahrukh Khan in his new film titled '2 States', a screen adaption of Chetan Bhagat's bestseller of the same title to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

According to sources, Asin was the first choice for the project and is chosen to play the lead role by both Sajid Nadiadwala,the producer and Vishal Bhardwaj, the director because of the Tamil origin of the lead female character in the novel. Besides, Asin is already working in Nadiadwala's another production Housefull 2.

Wanted: Katrina Kaif for an item song

Aamir Khan wants to add an item song to Delhi Belly, and nephew Imran Khan has a great suggestion -- Katrina Kaif.

Some were intimating that Aamir Khan himself do the item song but Imran had the much better and prettier idea. He thinks that the curvaceous Katrina Kaif should be the item girl in Delhi Belly. Why you may ask? Well Imran is quick to respond saying, "Katrina's jawaani is very attractive".

And for those who wonder why Katrina over Aamir, well Imran quips, "Of course, Katrina, she is more curvaceous", a deserved answer for a senseless comparison. Tees Maar Khan may not have done wonders but Sheila Ki Jawani sure did.

Imran Khan is currently filming Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Katrina Kaif and has made it clear on many an occasion about how at ease at he is around his co-star. Her beauty definitely makes bonding easy!

While the search for the item girl continues, Imran and co. have launched the Bhaag DK Bose song video from Delhi Belly. The song has taken an innovative twist to turn a popular Bengali name into an expletive. DK Bose has connected with the youth and has become an instant hit on the Internet!

Who knows Aamir may drop the idea of an item song all together.

Delhi Belly's Contender

Aamir isn't worried about the release of Delhi Belly clashing with Big B's flick.

After having produced five hit films under his banner, Aamir Khan is extremely confident about his sixth home production 'Delhi Belly' that is touted to be a sex comedy. Aamir is busy promoting 'Delhi Belly' and is aware of the fact that his film has a strong contender.

Amitabh Bachchan's much awaited flick 'Bbuddah - Hoga Tera Baap' will also be releasing along side Delhi Belly and the film will see Big B once again returning as an angry man but this time, an old man. Directed by South India's renowned filmmaker Puri Jagannath, Bbuddah... has a strong buzz in the industry.

Imran's awkward onscreen smooch

Imran Khan has shed his innocent boy image to get into the skin of a spoilt brat for Delhi Belly. He is handsome but looks like a rogue; he has his charming ways with girls but is two-timing them in the film. He drinks like a fish and is addicted to porn. Yes, he is a rangeen Delhite and we won’t mind seeing him getting naughty and playing kissing game with girls.

Imran shares a messy liplock with newbie Poorna Jagannathan that too in a car. Though he looks comfortable getting cozy with the actress who is sitting on on the driver's seat of a car, his position looks a bit awkward. You can also see Imran bruised and bashed up with sullen face in the first look of the film. And besides kissing and getting entangled between two girls, Imran has also done a shocking lovemaking scene where he is shown going ‘down’, but everything is kept under the sheets.

Producer Aamir Khan too has warned his fans about the film. Aamir writes in his blog, “Aamir Khan Productions is known for its inspiring, clean, family entertainment. All that is about to change! Delhi Belly has the potential of, in a single stroke, destroying all the goodwill we have built in the last ten years.”

So, can we expect the unexpected?

Imran drinks, swears, watches porn..

The first look of the Imran Khan-starrer Delhi Belly is a far cry from those of other films we get to see often. Rather than posing pretty in glad rags, Imran is bruised and bashed up, sulking and glowering at the camera.

The film stars Imran Khan along with comedian Vir Das and Kunal Roy Kapoor. Poorna Jagannath and Shenaz Treasurywala are the actresses.

Abhinay Deo, the film’s director describes Delhi Belly as an “ensemble film” where instead of one character of the hero (Imran Khan) all the characters are equally important and have substantial footage.

Imran, we hear, plays a spoilt Delhiite. He drinks, swears, cheats on his girlfriend, is short tempered, and -- if anything was left -- is hooked to porn films.

The film is written by Akshat Verma and has been produced by Aamir Khan and Ronnie Screwala. It’s slated to release on July 1.

"Rangeela" sequel planned...

Sequels, sequels and more sequels are the order of the day in Bollywood and Ram Gopal Varma has also caught up with the trend. His film Rangeela in which Aamir Khan and Urmila Matondkar played the lead roles created a sensation when it was released sixteen years ago. Music maestro AR Rahman's music played a vital part in the film's success. And now, RGV intends to make a sequel to it.

In fact the idea for such venture struck him during the launch of Rahman's biography. Rahman, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to all the filmmakers namely, Mani Ratnam, Subhash Ghai, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Ram Gopal Varma, etc., to whom he attributed his successful career. In fact Rahman made his debut in Bollywood through Rangeela. RGV was touched by Rahman's words of gratitude and immediately thought of making sequel to the trend-setting film. Here again, he is hoping to rope in Rahman to compose the music.

Bring it on Khans!

Aamir Khan's Reema Kagti film may not release on the same day as SRK's 'Don 2', but Aamir may have other plans...

We did hear that Reema Kagti has delayed the release of her yet to be titled venture which was initially to release on December 24 this year, along with Shah Rukh Khan's Don 2. The reason for the push of the release date was that SRK's Don 2 was too much of a competition for this low budget movie.

However, news has it that Aamir Khan now is all set to release Delhi-Belly on the same date. We hear that some post production work on Delhi-Belly still remains, the but the movie will be ready soon. There will be ample time for promotions if the release does happen on December 24.

Looks like these Khans enjoy each other's competititon. This is one takkar that even the audiences won't seem to mind. So all we can say is: Bring it on Khans!

Darsheel Safary is very fond of Manjari

Manjari Fadnis was paired with Imraan Khan in her debut film Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na and now in her second film Zokkomon, she is working with Darsheel Safary who debuted in an Aamir Khan production.

She bonded well with the child actor on the sets of this Disney production. Manjari, who has grown quite fond of Darsheel is now telling people he is her most favorite co-star! That might be stretching the truth but we can understand how both being Shiamak Davar students, must've had a blast during the song and dance sequences.

The actress looked out for Darsheel as an older sister while filming, and they've have continued their connection post shooting as well. Nice to know they haven't lost touch, no Aamir?

B-town parties with Sachin Tendulkar

The euphoria following the World Cup victory is hard to describe in words. Right from the common man to high profile celebrities, all are still busy celebrating Team India's success in their own sweet way.

The 'Men In Blue' too have been partying hard ever since they bagged the Cup that Counts. 'Master Blaster'- Sachin Tendulkar, for whom it has been a life-long dream that has finally been accomplished, too had a bash for his close friends. The bash, organised by restaurateur Sanjay Narang, saw a lot of B-town celebs in attendance.

Among the big names who made it to the bash were Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aamir Khan with Kiran Rao, Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar and Eesha Koppikhar. Among the cricketers, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan made it to the bash.

For a change, the B-town stars themselves turned into star-struck fans as they waited for an opportunity to pose with Sachin Tendulkar.

KJo posted his pic with Sachin on Twitter and said, "Had to tweet this!!! My big moment with the legend of all legends!!!"

Shahid Kapoor too was all starry eyed when he came to face with the God of Cricket. The actor tweeted, "What a man!!!!! Privileged to be by his side!!"

Eesha Koppikhar too only had words of praise for the Little Master. The actress tweeted, "What a moment to pose with you. Team India n u have made us proud."

Aamir Khan's party for Sachin

The cricket fever is yet to subside and the players are still pinching themselves as they cannot believe that they have actually bought home the cup this World Cup and that they would go down in history. Bollywood too is celebrating the win and parties are being thrown in tinsel town for Dhoni and company and all of them are enjoying the joy of winning. Like Bollywood’s one of the most sought after Khan, Aamir Khan is throwing friend and neighbor Sachin Tendulkar a dinner party.

A source confirmed the news that Aamir would soon throw a dinner party for the master blaster and after that a lunch for the entire family would follow the dinner. Although nothing has been fixed, however everything would depend on the availability of Sachin and his free time.

Apart from this other actors are also thinking of throwing parties for their cricketer friends to commemorate their win over the Sri lankans. John Abraham who is a dear friend of Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni wishes to do the same. According to a source, “John was there at Dhoni’s wedding. He’s always been there with Dhoni at most important events. The only problem is that Bipasha too is friends with Dhoni. Given their current relationship status, it seems John’s party may not have Bipasha in it. Southpaw Yuvraj Singh may also be present at the party.” Well, lets see whether the hot actress and ex beau Bipasha makes to the list or not.

When everyone is celebrating and throwing parties then it is a little strange that SRK is not doing anything. But we know the reason that currently the Badshah is very busy with the 20-20 cricket tournament. However he might just take a day off and throw a bash for Yuvraj.

Aamir waiting for Salman's wedding

Bollywood star Aamir Khan, who turned 46 today, is eagerly waiting for his friend and popular actor Salman Khan to get married.

"I am waiting for Salman''s wedding. I believe everyone is desperately waiting for his wedding. The day he gets married would be ''khaas'' (special) for all of us. Whenever, I talk to Salman about wedding he just smiles," Aamir told reporters here at his Pali Hill residence, after cutting the birthday cake.

On the ideal match for Salman, Aamir said, "He has many ''hasinas'' (beautiful girls) roaming around him. So he has the choice."

The two Khans were last seen together onscreen in Rajkumar Santoshi''s ''Andaz Apna Apna'' (1994), a cult comedy.

According to reports, both are keen to do a sequel.

Of late, both the actors have become good friends. If Salman praises Aamir''s ''Peepli Live'' then Aamir reciprocates by applauding ''Dabangg''.

Aamir says the biggest gift on his birthday would be the title for Reema Kagti''s upcoming suspense-thriller film.

"Give me a title for Reemaji''s film and that would be the biggest gift on my birthday. It is a suspense-thriller film. I request my fans and audience to think of a name."

Besides Kagti''s untitled project with Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor, he would be seen in Yash Raj''s ''Dhoom 3''.

Aamir started his career as a child actor in uncle Nasir Hussain''s ''Yaadon Ki Baaraat'' in 1973. Eleven years later, he acted in ''Holi''.

His first commercial success came with ''Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'' and he then went on to give several hits like ''Dil'', ''Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar'' and ''Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke''.

"I don''t think the fact that I am on the wrong side of 40 affects me. With passing years I had a lot of good things happening. I feel professionally I am at the peak of my career."

The actor says he is grateful to his family, friends and fans for all love and blessings.

Aamir, who had made commitments to himself like learning Marathi, swimming and cooking on his last birthday, has achieved some of the targets. "I have started learning Marathi and swimming but I haven''t learnt cooking. I wanted to spend more time with Ammi. Since last month she is staying here in the same building. Kiran and I are staying with her," he said.

Khan ventured into production and gave blockbusters such as ''Taare Zameen Par'', ''Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na'', ''Peepli Live'' and ''Dhobi Ghat''. "I am happy that I have supported new talent with two women directors -- Anusha Rizvi and Kiran.

Both of them are talented directors besides Reemaji."

"For past several years audiences have seen men''s perspective of filmmaking...their emotions and understanding of relations. We haven''t seen much perspective of a women director as few women take up direction. But now things are changing... women are becoming directors," he added.

"3 Idiots" in Tamil : The cast

The Tamil version of the super hit film 3 Idiots has been named ‘Nanban’. Sources say, Vijay will play the main lead, which we know without saying. Jeeva who will play Sharman Joshi’s role is super excited about it. And the role played by Madhavan will be done by Srikanth.

The powerful role of Boman Irani as Virus has gone to Sathyaraj while Sathyan will be stepping into Omi Vaidhya’s shoes. Director-actor SJ Suryah will make a cameo in Nanban and play Javed Jefri’s character. Ileana is the leading lady and Anuya will play her sister in the film.
