Jacqueline is bolder than Mallika and Bips?

There's tremendous buzz around Vishesh Films' Murder 2 starring Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez for obvious reasons.

The trade and the public who have now come to expect a staple erotic quotient from the Bhatt brothers (Mukesh and Mahesh) — Jism and Murder being the reference points — know that Murder 2 won't just push the envelope but tear it.

Mahesh Bhatt, the brain behind these films, admits that Jacqueline is bolder than Jism's Bipasha Basu and Murder's Mallika Sherawat (Murder). Says he, "We at Vishesh Films decided to make films with a high quotient of erotica to cater to the new consumer who is living a life radically different from the life I lived in my youth. "Bollywood cinema was slow to realise this but society had moved on. That is why when we made Jism and Murder and Raaz, the audience lapped it up. They had no problems with it. But the purists were outraged.

"For the first time in Indian cinema, Bipasha uttered the words, "the body doesn't know love, it only knows lust." Then we had Mallika in Murder who sleeps with another man and returns to her marriage only because her affair isn't working out. She has an intensely fulfilling sexual extra-marital relationship and feels no guilt. This is the post modern Indian woman.
"The India in which we were groomed, was shackled to certain beliefs. In the cinema made by our predecessors — Raj Kapoor and Raj Khosla — we were invariably shown that good people fell in love while bad people had sex.

"For me, the eye-opener came when I saw Jism in Delhi and found 70 per cent of the audience comprised of rich women. It was not just being viewed by sex-hungry frontbenchers but also by an evolved upmarket audience. "Raaz was simply the precursor. With Murder 2, women have gone one step further. Jacqueline is a different animal from Mallika and Bipasha. While they sinned with their eyes open but still yearned to conform towards the end; for Murder 2's Jackie, sex is even more casual. For her sex is like an expression. She does it as casually as she would inhale or exhale. That is what it is." The film releases worldwide on July 8.

ECO Darling . .

If there’s one thing that actress Bipasha Basu never shies or tires talking of, then it’s a noble cause. And working towards saving the environment and protecting nature is an issue that’s rather close to the sexy star’s heart. “And I think that it should be a topic close to everyone’s heart,” says the B-Town star.

“Our nature and environment are things that we so take for granted. But imagine a day without something as simple as a tree and you’ll understand what I’m talking about,” she adds. In fact, Bipasha points out that one need not even join an NGO or any organisation to do their bit towards it.

“You don’t need to be affiliated to any institution to do a good deed. All you need is the intention to do it. I think simple things like saving water, electricity, paper, planting a sapling... all of it go a long way in protecting the environment,” she says.

“Besides, I think, we also owe it to our future generations to give them a healthy environment conducive to healthy growth of mind, body and spirit,” adds Basu. “But I think that today there’s more awareness amongst youngsters as compared to their elders, which is heartening. I am sure today these kids can teach a thing or two to them too about saving environment,” she smiles.

Ajab Dosti ki Ghazab Kahani..!

Bipasha Basu and Ranbir Kapoor have kept in touch ever since they first bonded together on the sets of Bachna Ae Haseeno.

That the 32-year-old Bipasha Basu and 28-year-old Ranbir Kapoor could be thick as thieves is something only a few had expected. But an ajab friendship has brewed between the two over the years.

They keep in touch and often discuss openly the matters that are most personal to them, be it the crisis in their respective romantic lives or new friendships. Reports say Ranbir discussed in detail his break-ups with Deepika Padukone and, later, Katrina Kaif. Likewise, Bipasha too has been confiding the matters of her heart to Ranbir.

While there’s nothing romantic brewing between the two Bipasha and Ranbir could easily be labelled as soul buddies.

Bipasha doesn’t deny that she and Ranbir have been good friends, but goes on to add that their busy schedules hardly leave them with any time to catch up.

New girl in John's life

The news of Bipasha Basu and John Abraham breaking up came as a shock to many. The two were seeing each other since the past nine years. But the good news is that both of them seem to have moved on pretty quickly.

While Bipasha is rumoured to be dating her international co-star Josh Hartnett, John has been spotted having coffee and dinner with a girl named Priya. While there is not much detail available about Priya, sources reveal that she is an upcoming model.

John is currently shooting for his upcoming, yet untitled movie which features Chitrangada Singh. The buzz suggests that John has been enjoying his single status lately and has been hitting it off quite well with the females around him.

John and Priya were reportedly spotted hanging out together and having chats over a cup of coffee! The two were also seen at suburban restaurants having dinner. John takes out time after his shoots to spend time with Priya.

Well, John, we would advice you take things ahead slowly. Because slow and steady wins Priya. Oops, we mean the race! Wink! Wink!

The new Dhoom girl...

If the Dhoom series needs its ladies really hot and sizzling, they have just hit the jackpot. Ranbir Kapoor's 'close friend' and former swimsuit calendar girl Angela Jonsson was found auditioning for the said role in the upcoming Dhoom sequel at the Yash Raj Studios, yesterday.

According to our source from the production house, the model, who has set her eyes on Bollywood (that is, apart from Bollywood's men) was called for an audition at the studio and she was pretty impressive in it. "There have been a lot of auditions going on after Victor and Adi decided to have a new face to star opposite Aamir in Dhoom 3. Angela came in as a part of that process. And she impressed them," said the source.

And why wouldn't she? After all she matches all the pre-conditions of being a Dhoom girl. The ladies who have bagged the coveted role in the previous Dhoom films, namely, Esha Deol, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu had to look extremely stylish and sexy for it.

In fact, Esha had to lose quite a few kilos for the same. "What also worked for the Dhoom makers is that Angela is quite gorgeous and can easily carry off a stylish character. And most importantly despite being a model she is quite short almost ideal for a short person like Aamir. That's why they have had more meetings with her," added the source.

When contacted, Yash Raj Films, known for their tightlipped behaviour until the starcast is finalised on paper, admitted that Angela was there for an audition. However, they denied having signed her for the film.

"We constantly audition new talent and Angela was auditioned for a possible role by our casting department but this was not for any specific project," said the YRF spokesperson and added, "As for whether she is a part of Dhoom 3, YRF is not in discussion with her. We would like to reiterate that the D:3 girl has not been found and the hunt is still on."

Angela did not reply to our SMS either. But it sure looks like the model is doing just the right things in Bollywood.

Bipasha detained too..

It looks like Bollywood hotties are going through hard times at the airports. Few days back, Minnisha Lamba was detained at the Mumbai Airport for not revealing about the gold she carried as ‘Gold materials’ come under dutiable materials.

Bipasha Basu was also caught up in a similar situation as she didn’t declare about the gold that she was carrying. Apparently, she was stopped for enquiry and was asked to pay the duty tax.

On her return, Bipasha Basu declared that it’s true that she was held for questioning and it was sorted out within few minutes.

The customs official later mentioned that she was asked to pay Rs. 12,000 as tax and thanked her for being cooperative throughout the process of enquiry.

Professionally Uninhibited !

Bipasha Basu's loss is Jacqueline Fernandez's gain.

The Sri Lankan beauty has now replaced the dusky beauty, who lost out on a plum role in the Bhatt's Raaz 3 due to her temper tantrums over an item number in Murder 2.

Jackie will now be playing the leading lady in the sequel to Raaz (a film that made Bipasha famous) opposite Emraan Hashmi, the blue eyed boy of the Bhatt's Vishesh Films.

The role fell in Jackie's laps soon after her performance in Murder 2, that pleased the Bhatt brothers to no end.

Jacqueline has proved herself to be very uninhibited when it comes to her acting profession and has performed exceptionally well in the lovemaking scenes in Murder 2.

John- Bips broke up on February 14

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu who have gone public with their split few days ago, were very much together till Valentine's Day this year. Their common pals are yet to come to terms with the split, reports a news daily.

Common friends of the couple say that John and Bipasha who were earlie r planning to celebrate Valentine's day at a five star location in Bandra had to change the venue at the last minute.

John and Bips then went to a restaurant in Central Mumbai.

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu broke up after 9 years of togetherness.

One of their close friends says, "Everything was good between them. And it came as a rude shock to us that within a few days after Feb 14, they decided to go their separate ways. It is confusing even for us."

The friend continues, "John and Bipasha are maintaining the same equation with all of us in their friends circle. It shows that both of them are mature people. We honestly hope that they get back together."

Hope, John-Bipasha are listening.

"I am single" - Bipasha

It’s official. Bipasha Basu has successfully moved on from her relationship of nine years with actor John Abraham and is enjoying the change. Shutting off all rumours over the new man in her life, she says, “I’ve been in relationships since I was 15. Though I’ve only dated three men in that time,” she admits, adding, “I’m now single for the first time in 17 years.”

But Bipasha, who was dating Dino Morea before John, refuses to commit to how long that status quo will remain.
“I don’t plan. It all depends on whether I find a suitable guy,” she says.

The actor was recently linked to Dum Maaro Dum co-star Rana Daggubatti and Josh Hartnett, who plays her on-screen lover in Singularity.

She admits she didn’t think of settling down even when she was with a man, and has no intention to do so now.

“While I was in a relationship, it was great. Some day, I will settle down with a husband and kids. But I’m not interested right now,” says Bipasha, who is currently shooting for Players in Russia in sub zero temperatures with Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Neil Nitin Mukesh on the Abbas-Mustan remake of The Italian Job (2003).

Bipasha reveals that when she made her film debut in 2001, she had thought of retiring from acting in five years. Today, almost a decade later, she has just finished filming her first Hollywood venture, Roland Joffe’s Singularity, with Josh Hartnett and Abhay Deol among others. She doesn’t know whether her career will change after its release, but she doesn’t want to leave Bollywood.

“If it does well, it will get me a lot of respect from markets that don’t know me. But Bollywood is where I’m going to be. At the same time, Singularity is mammoth,” says Bipasha, who credits filmmaker-friend Heeraz Marfatia, also a creative consultant on the film, with introducing her to Roland informally about a year ago and giving her the big Hollywood break.

“He just told me to meet Roland and when I did, who knew I would land Tulaja Naik’s role? My character drives the entire film. And it’s a love story between Josh and I.”

Singularity is split into two eras, and the period parts have been shot in Australia and Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Over the next few weeks, Josh will film the present day portions.

Bipasha plays a Maratha warrior in the film. Having had her fill of action with Players and Singularity, the actor, plans to announce her next.

“It will be a romantic-comedy,” she says.

Rana Daggubati - Standing Tall

One of the most handsome men of South film industry Rana Daggubati is in Bollywood now. The boy plays a young musician and gets to romance the hottest Bollywood babe Bipasha Basu in "Dum Maaro Dum".

But more than his films, people seem interested in knowing about his height and search for it on google. So, in Rana’s case we can say the height can kill. The boy is gifted with a great height of 6’3”, and that also makes him the hot favourite among girls because it’s a known fact that girls just love tall guys.

When Rana made his debut with Telugu film Leader, critics heaped praises on him saying that he can even do English movies. Now this debonair man is going places and is said to have signed an English movie too and will be seen next in Telugu film "Nenu Naa Rakshasi" with Ileana. But for now it’s "Dum Maaro Dum" - his first Bollywood film.

Is Deepika John's rebound?

Single-again John Abraham is seen bonding with female co-star Deepika Padukone in London. Is it just a working relationship or do we see something more brewing?

Even as the snapshots of Bipasha Basu chilling out with Josh Hartnett on the sets of the movie Singularity indicate that there might be more to the bonding between the two than meets the eye, perhaps the same holds true for John Abraham as well, who has been shooting in the relatively cool climes of London for first-timer Rohit Dhawan’s film Desi Boyz with Deepika Padukone.

Buzz is that while filming a song in Brighton, John and Deepika bonded like thick friends. John, decorous as ever, seems to have made quite an impression on Deepika who’s said to be dating Siddharth Mallya. Interestingly, she too hasn’t been seen with the Mallya lad for quite some time now.

In that case, it was perhaps two like-minded co-stars bonding on the sets, but may be there’s more smoke than fire to all this gossip.

Bipasha plays a Maratha warrior

Bipasha Basu is currently in Madhya Pradesh's Orchha region where she is shooting for her forthcoming Hollywood project Singularity.

The actress, who plays a Maratha warrior Tulaja Naik in the film, is considered as one of the hottest sirens in tinsel ville. No wonder then, the locals in Orchha gathered around the film's sets to get a glimpse of the hottie.

A source revealed, "Earlier there was no crowd around the sets as the locals thought its some Hollywood shooting going on. But as word spread about Bipasha Basu being there, there was no stopping eager fans who would gather to get a glimpse of her."

The source further revealed that recently the situation got so out of control that the shooting had to be stopped. "Recently, a huge crowd gathered around the sets and it really became difficult to film the scenes. All they wanted was to see Bipasha. Learning about the same, Bipasha requested for the crew to go on a small break. She used the time to interact with her fans. She waved at them and also signed a few autographs," the source revealed.

Bipasha wants to work with Rana again

When asked about her experiences working on Dum Maaro Dum, Bipasha Basu replies, "DMD is a special film for me. Whatever happens to the film I will never forget the experience of working in this film. I had a blast shooting in Goa. I made some good friends. Me, Abhishek, Rana and Prateik, we spent a lot of time together on and off the sets. This is one film I would cherish for a long time. There are a lot of expectations from the film. Hope we will live up to the expectation. I'm sure the film will do well."

Speaking about her role Bips says, "If I like a script, I do it. I went into a trance when the script of DMD was narrated to me. I decided that I should be part of the project, come what may, because this film will remain as a landmark in my career. The name of my character is Jo and she wants to her city evolve. Every character in the movie has it's own significance."

On her co-star Rana, she says, "Rana is not just beautiful but is a good actor as well. I didn't know him much before Dum Maaro Dum but during the film I realized that he is so normal and very humble. He also speaks Hindi fluently. I share a good rapport with him. I'd love to work with Rana again. I'm sure he will help me out with the language."

Bipasha's loss is Yana's gain - Murder 2

…And we were all looking forward to see Bengal babe Bipasha Basu as an item girl and looks like its going to be next time.

Latest update from ‘Murder 2’ side is that Bipasha has been replaced by Czech-Indian sizzler Yana Gupta. Basu said to had demanded a hefty price for featuring in the item song for the movie. However, the makers Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt were apparently displeased about it and instead picked up Yana for the track.

Yana garnered immense success with her winning performance in dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. Following that she was offered the item song of ‘Chalo Dilli’, the “Laila” remix and that is currently making with waves in the industry.

Coming back to ‘Murder 2’…. Incidentally the item sequence was first offered to Mallika Sherawat, who played the lead in the original. Later it went to Bips and now ball is in Yana’s court….

Chalo lets wait to see what kind of ‘killer’ performance she has stored in for us….

DMD releasing April 22nd

Things have finally turned out to be good for the makers of ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ after the division bench of Bombay High Court brushed off the petition that was earlier filed by Goa based Savio, to stop the release of DMD for its objectionable content.

It’s reported that after watching the movie the High Court judges have given the verdict to release the movie as scheduled on April 22 since the film doesn’t portray Goa negatively.

Justice S C Dharmadhikari and Justice F M Reis of the division bench have given the go-ahead to release the film after DMD’s filmmaker removed the explicitly distasteful content that was seen in the promos.

Speaking about ‘Dum Maaro Dum’s release date, Fox Star Studio International Private Limited (FSSIPL) representative Dina Duttani stated, "It will be released in 20 countries at 350 international locations and 1,000 theatres and multiplexes in India."

"Pantyless" Yana in Murder 2

Life positively seems to be going the high way for model-turned-actress Yana Gupta as the Czech beauty has found a new glory on the professional front.

Yana is all set to woo her fans as she has been chosen to perform a sizzling item number in ‘Murder 2’ and not the dusky actress Bipasha Basu.

Yana seems to have gained a lot of attention from the Bhatt camp that the sizzling starlet replaced the Bong beauty Bipasha to become the new item girl in the sequel to ‘Murder’.

Buzz has it that after Bipasha asked for a astronomical amount to do an item number in ‘Murder 2’, Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt decided to rope in Yana, after she completed the item song ‘Laila O Laila' in Lara Dutta’s ‘Chalo Dilli'.

Me and Bipasha share a beautiful love story - Rana

Being paired with the sultry Bipasha Basu in Dum Maro Dum, actor Rana Daggubati is already battling link-up rumours insisting they are just "friends" in real life.

The duo play a romantic couple in the film and Bipasha's reportedly single status sparked off rumours that their romance has spilled over off screen. But Rana has denied the alleged link-up, saying "Me and Bipasha share a beautiful love story, but only on screen."

The pair have also shot some intimate scenes as part of the film.

"She was the only person on the team I didn't know before shooting of the film began. It was great to work with seniors like Abhishek and Bipasha," added the newcomer in Bollywood.

The 26-year-old actor is making his Bollywood debut with the Rohan Sippy-directed thriller, playing a Goan musician Joki.

"I was surprised on being offered one of the leads in Dum Maro Dum. Being a South Indian actor you expect to be playing 20 seconds cameo in Hindi films, not protagonists," said Rana, who was in the capital today to promote the April 22 release.

The actor has starred in a Telugu film Leader, his only release so far and was offered a role in Dum Maro Dum even before the film hit screens.

"I did not expect that I'll be working in a Bollywood film so early in my career," said Rana, who worked with Hindi diction trainers before beginning to shoot.

"It was fun to be working in a different industry in the same country. Even though the madness of movie-making is the same, the method of cinematic story-telling is different. I couldn't have played a Goan musician in any South Indian film," said Rana.

Abhishek Bachchan plays a cop in DMD

Abhishek Bachchan's eagerly looking forward to the release of his film Dum Maaro Dum.

The actor, who plays a cop in the film, says that he has worked really hard for the film and now can't wait for it to hit screens and see audience's reaction. However, shooting for the film wasn't an easy task for Junior Bachchan.

Talking about the film in a recent interview, Abhi revealed, "Shooting for Dum Maaro Dum was a torture." Further explaining about what he went through while shooting with Rohan Sippy in Goa, Abhishek said, "We were in Goa “ a hub for all the fun things. We were in this Susegad land and we were working from morning 6 am to 10 pm. Damn! There was no time to enjoy Goa," he regretted.

Incidentally, this is not the first time that the actor was working while in Goa, instead of enjoying the beaches. A portion of Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se was also filmed in the beach city.

DMD shows "Goa in bad light"

Rohan Sippy's film 'Dum Maaro Dum' is being hit by controversies. This time Goa State Women's Commission (GSWC) has protested taking cognizance of the alleged derogatory references to Goan women in the forthcoming movie. GSWC Chairman Ezilda Sapeco filed a complaint with the local police urging them to inquire into the complaint. She has said that the movie might result in breach of peace in the state. Sippy's flick, which depicts the drug underbelly of the tourist state, has raised a stink in Goa with lawmakers, social activists, women welfare groups and now GSWC expressing their reservation on the movie. However, director Rohan Sippy is unperturbed and says he has not done anything wrong and has made the film responsibly. After watching it, the people's misunderstanding will be removed, he adds.

The Panaji bench of the Bombay High Court has issued notices to the director and producers of the film over a petition seeking a ban on the film scheduled to be released April 22. Rodrigues alleged that the film featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone portrayed Goa and its women in bad light. He said the film would have an adverse impact on the state`s tourism industry. Meanwhile, Goa Tourism Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar has said that he would be taking up the issue with its director.

Mallika Vs Bips Vs Mandira - Topless

It’s the season of dropping tops, it appears. First Bipasha Basu posed topless for a magazine cover in January. Now, Mallika Sherawat has got many eyes popped out with her sizzling image on the cover of FHM.

We’re not even considering the likes of Mandira Bedi and Vidya Balan who have posed boldly for photoshoots in the last few months. But Bipasha baring her shapely back on the cover of the January issue of Maxim did win its share of accolades.

Now, as if to rival that, Mallika has taken her top off and scorched the cover of the April issue of FHM.

The cover, with Mallika’s assets barely hidden behind a voluminous necklace, leaves little to imagination.

So we decided to ask you, who looks hotter as the covergirl?
