Angela Jonsson swaps boyfriends

We are no fan of partner swapping but this one was too coincidentally amusing to miss. Angela Jonsson, the girl Ranbir Kapoor’s believed to be dating, was seen bonding with Siddharth Mallya, boyfriend of Ranbir’s ex, Deepika Padukone.

Terming it a love quadrangle would be jumping the gun, but Angela Jonsson and Siddharth Mallya did bond like thick buddies at the birthday bash thrown by Shilpa Shetty earlier this week.

From what we hear, Angela arrived at the party with actor Prateik Babbar and a bunch of friends. But once she noticed Siddharth at the party, she couldn’t keep away from the handsome Mallya lad. What followed was an evening of fun as Siddharth was his usual witty self and Angela smiled non-stop.

Now, before your imagination runs amok let us just put things into perspective. Siddharth and Angela have known each other for quite some time. She was the winner of the 2011 Kingfisher Calendar Girl Hunt. Siddharth Mallya owns Kingfisher Airlines.

Siddharth himself was effusive about Angela after she won contest.

“She is a stunningly good-looking girl. She is a very sweet person and she radiates all that Kingfisher stands for,” he had said.

So, at Shilpa Shetty’s party, Siddharth and Angela were more like two friends catching up. Deepika and Ranbir needn’t fret.

Ajab Dosti ki Ghazab Kahani..!

Bipasha Basu and Ranbir Kapoor have kept in touch ever since they first bonded together on the sets of Bachna Ae Haseeno.

That the 32-year-old Bipasha Basu and 28-year-old Ranbir Kapoor could be thick as thieves is something only a few had expected. But an ajab friendship has brewed between the two over the years.

They keep in touch and often discuss openly the matters that are most personal to them, be it the crisis in their respective romantic lives or new friendships. Reports say Ranbir discussed in detail his break-ups with Deepika Padukone and, later, Katrina Kaif. Likewise, Bipasha too has been confiding the matters of her heart to Ranbir.

While there’s nothing romantic brewing between the two Bipasha and Ranbir could easily be labelled as soul buddies.

Bipasha doesn’t deny that she and Ranbir have been good friends, but goes on to add that their busy schedules hardly leave them with any time to catch up.

The new Dhoom girl...

If the Dhoom series needs its ladies really hot and sizzling, they have just hit the jackpot. Ranbir Kapoor's 'close friend' and former swimsuit calendar girl Angela Jonsson was found auditioning for the said role in the upcoming Dhoom sequel at the Yash Raj Studios, yesterday.

According to our source from the production house, the model, who has set her eyes on Bollywood (that is, apart from Bollywood's men) was called for an audition at the studio and she was pretty impressive in it. "There have been a lot of auditions going on after Victor and Adi decided to have a new face to star opposite Aamir in Dhoom 3. Angela came in as a part of that process. And she impressed them," said the source.

And why wouldn't she? After all she matches all the pre-conditions of being a Dhoom girl. The ladies who have bagged the coveted role in the previous Dhoom films, namely, Esha Deol, Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu had to look extremely stylish and sexy for it.

In fact, Esha had to lose quite a few kilos for the same. "What also worked for the Dhoom makers is that Angela is quite gorgeous and can easily carry off a stylish character. And most importantly despite being a model she is quite short almost ideal for a short person like Aamir. That's why they have had more meetings with her," added the source.

When contacted, Yash Raj Films, known for their tightlipped behaviour until the starcast is finalised on paper, admitted that Angela was there for an audition. However, they denied having signed her for the film.

"We constantly audition new talent and Angela was auditioned for a possible role by our casting department but this was not for any specific project," said the YRF spokesperson and added, "As for whether she is a part of Dhoom 3, YRF is not in discussion with her. We would like to reiterate that the D:3 girl has not been found and the hunt is still on."

Angela did not reply to our SMS either. But it sure looks like the model is doing just the right things in Bollywood.

'Ranbir and I have dated" : Angela

It’s not easy to get famous but it’s definitely hard to handle fame. The Kingfisher Model Hunt winner Angela Jonsson fortunately and unfortunately is the girl of the moment. Not only is her link-up story with Ranbir Kapoor creating ripples, rumours of her meeting Bollywood’s another heartthrob Shahid Kapoor is also gaining momentum.

Now we learn that Angela, who is not aware how the gossipmongers in B-town work, is a worried girl and it’s a matter of concern for her parents too. Though she doesn’t like commenting on her personal life, the girl has decided to clear the air and has put all the speculations to rest.

“Yes, Ranbir and I have dated. We have gone out to dinner like two normal adults in the city,” Angela tells a tabloid.

But what about Shahid? Angela admits she has just met him once at Ranbir’s party and they didn’t talk much. The model also claims that she doesn’t have Shahid’s number and has never texted him.

Ranbir wont play "old"

Ranbir Kapoor is very sensitive about his age. Those close to RK reveal that he rejects scripts and stories that have any kind of age leap in them instantly.

Recently, a producer approached the actor for a Veer-Zaara-style love story and was ready to pay him an astronomical amount.

While the first half has him in a lover's role, the second would have him ageing and looking much older than his age. A source reveals the actor was fuming when he read the story and asked the filmmaker to leave immediately.

Ranbir pissed with Ranveer

Ranbir Kapoor, who has the house to himself, threw a party for his friends from the industry a few days ago.

His parents Neetu and Rishi Kapoor are travelling and RK Junior has been living it up big time. When there's a party in Bollywood, there's no fun unless there are some shindigs or shenanigans. That's exactly what happened at Ranbir's, says a source.

Apparently Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and a few others were dancing the night away; when a slightly tipsy Ranveer suggested to Ranbir that he should play the remixed version of Dum Maaro Dum with Deepika Padukone in it for the umpteenth time. "What's more Ranveer apparently started discussing Deepika at length telling Ranbir that Dippy was the hottest girl he dated," says our source. "Ranveer who is usually very loud and crass even went a step ahead and added that the line in the Dum Maro Dum song, Pant Khichega Ki Nahi... was intended at RK Junior. Naturally Ranbir wasn't one bit amused. And he made his displeasure evident by asking Ranveer to shut up. Even Anushka asked her Band Baaja Baraat co-star to shut his mouth. But Ranveer wouldn't listen."

The party ended, alcohol levels came down and everyone went their respective ways. However, there is stress between Ranveer and Ranbir, says one of the guests.

Chances are Ranveer may not end up partying with RK Jr for a long time. Unless, of course, Ranveer learns to keep his tongue in check the next time around.

Ranbir parties hard with Angela Johnson

He generally doesn’t like to host parties, but in the absence of his parents, the Kapoor lad decided to enjoy his freedom and threw a lavish party for his friends at his bungalow. And along with his close friends there was also this mystery girl, who the media recognizes as Angela Johnson, arriving quietly at the party. Yeah! Ranbir Kapoor invited Angela and she did come.

It’s reported that nowadays Ranbir is staying without his parents because Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh are on vacations. The time was just right to party and Ranbir invited his buddies at his home Krishna Raj. The actor had returned from Hyderabad just the day before.

Celebs became party animals and enjoyed till the wee hours. Angela looked quite different for the party. Her poker-straight hair was defined with slight curls. The girl wore a blue-coloured short dress and wasn’t shying away from the cameras.

So who all were present? The list is endless: Karan Johar, Imtiaz Ali, lovebirds Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, another lovey dovey couple of Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu. Salman settles scores with Ranbir

Some might see it as his way of settling the score with Ranbir Kapoor. But, for Salman Khan choosing Nargis Fakhri as his heroine for a superhero film might just be a clever professional decision.

Ranbir Kapoor is often accused of stealing Katrina Kaif from Salman Khan. After all, it was during the making of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani that the sparks first flew between Ranbir and Kat. What it resulted in was a break-up between Salman and Kat even though Ranbir couldn’t stick to Kat after that and has been repeatedly linked with his Rockstar heroine Nargis Fakhri.

Now, the tables have turned as Salman Khan is looking forward to rope in Nargis for brother Sohail Khan’s production titled Sher Khan which will reportedly have Sallu playing a superhero.

The buzz is that Sohail wants a new girl to pair with Salman in the film. And Nargis -- though she won’t be a newbie by the film Sher Khan goes on the floors -- tops Khan’s wishlist.

The film is set to roll by the end of this year. More than anything, it offers Nargis a plum chance to cement her place in B-town.

Nargis Fakhri - Reason for the rift?

Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor used to be good friends. In spite of Salman being way senior to Ranbir, they shared a comfortable camaraderie. Salman and Ranbir had a group of common friends, and went out together pretty often. When the two actors were shooting out of the city, and found themselves shooting the same city, they met up and would go out together.

However, all this seems to have changed ever since news about Ranbir and Katrina Kaif got out. Salman, we hear, has slowly been distancing himself from Ranbir. Friends close to the actors tell us that the two don't hang out together anymore. If one comes out, the other excuses himself.

Ranbir also went on record to say that he and Katrina are not an item. Salman didn't take too kindly to that. "Bhai believes that girls should be treated with respect," said a close friend.

Salman wants Nargis Fakhri

Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan have history. The RK boy began dating Khan's girl Katrina Kaif two years ago.

The romance began on the sets of their film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (and continued during Raajneeti). Will history repeat itself? It is learnt that Salman now wants to romance RK's girl Nargis Fakhri.

Towards the end of the year, Salman Khan will get into the super-hero garb for his younger brother Sohail Khan's film titled Sher Khan (and not Tarzan) as reported. Sohail has worked on the script of this film for a long time and it is wildly exciting, say sources. Even as the girls — Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha and others start lining up for the role of Sher Khan's leading lady, trade sources indicate that Salman may team up with the Rockstar girl Nargis Fakhri. Says our source, "Sohail either wants a fresh face or he wants his brother to pair up with Nargis."' We hear the producers of Rockstar, who are also advising Nargis on her career, will be happy if she bags a film with Bhai.

"The Imran - Ranbir" clash

Rockstar and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan are both scheduled for a same date release

Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan had just about started to be polite to one another again. And here's a news break; their films Rockstar and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan will release on September 9.

Stand back for fireworks again. Yup! both Ranbir and Imran's PR machineries will now get into an overdrive in an attempt to prove which of them is the bigger box office attraction. Anyway the important thing here is: how did this catastrophe happen? A trade source says, "Imtiaz Ali who is working with AR Rahman on the music of Rockstar had to push his release date back from July. The producers apparently, decided they would either come with Salman Khan's Bodyguard on Eid (August-end) or a fortnight after that. The trade advised them not to clash with Bodyguard because Salman's last two Eid releases Wanted and Dabangg have proved that he is invincible at that point.

So, Rockstar was preparing for a September 9 release. But even before they could announce the date, Aditya Chopra announced that he will release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Katrina Kaif and Imran on this date. So, now Ranbir and Imran will clash instead of Ranbir and Salman." Incidentally, Kat will also clash with her ex-boyfriend and his current love interest Nargis. Incidentally one thing that both Rockstar and MBKD have going for them is their good music tracks. Of course no one will hear the sweet sound of the music, because there will be total PR cacophony instead!

Ranbir does an item song for "Chillar Party"

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has shot a promotional video for kids' film Chillar Party, directed by Vikas Bahl.

He plays himself in the video, but his look is that of a tapori (hoodlum) - inspired by one of the characters in the film.

The song has a very Mumbai feel and is a mix of street instruments, local voices and dialect. It has been sung by music composer Amit Trivedi and his mother, while choreographers Bosco-Caeser have mixed street dancing with contemporary style for it.

"Ranbir Kapoor saw the film and loved it. That's when we requested him if he would do an item song for the kids and he loved the idea, and readily agreed," said a source from the production unit.

Chillar Party is set for a May release.

Ranbir and Nargis get cosy

Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri were reprimanded by their director the last time they stepped out in public. But these two are unstoppable.

Eye witnesses claim to have spotted Ranbir and with his Rockstar co-star at Prithvi theatre recently. The duo watched two plays back-to-back. They seemed completely at ease with each other, even as people around clicked their pictures and asked RK boy for autographs.

Looks like the Kapoor lad is over his girlfriend of two years Katrina Kaif. He seems to be smitten by Nargis' charms! Well, what matters is that the Kapoor scion can't help date pretty girls and we can't help writing about it. Must check if Nargis tweeted about her play date with her hero.

Ranbir and Salman at loggerheads

There are whispers in B-Town that Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are not in the best of terms and Ranbir’s recent confession that he never dated Katrina Kaif seems to be the cause of the problem.

A few days ago while giving an interview to a TV channel Ranbir Kapoor made a confession that he never dated Katrina Kaif, saying that since he had never dated Kat the question of breaking up with her doesn’t even arise.

As is being reported by several news sources, it seems that Ranbir’s comments about not dating Katrina have upset Salman, and he feels that they are derogatory to the extent that Salman is talking to his producer friends and others in the film-industry to boycott Ranbir.

Ranbir who is constantly linked with his co-stars had given the interview to the TV channel to clear the air and use the opportunity to clean his image. When asked if he is irritated with the media, the Kapoor lad said, "I really get hurt when every day, you link me with a new girl. I am not saying every story you publish is wrong, but some are. Don’t spoil one’s image, yaar!"

Salman Khan and Ranbir were said to be in good terms, even after there were rumors of Ranbir and Katrina dating. Nonetheless, what Ranbir said seems to have upset Salman’s ex-flame Katrina, and Salman is out to teach RK a lesson.

Ranbir is deaf and mute in "Barfee"

Though Ranbir Kapoor plays a deaf and mute man in Anurag Basu's " Barfee", his character would be no sad sack but a happy-go-lucky chap.

For some months, Anurag concentrated on instilling a positivity and laughter into the script before he began shooting and decided to make "Barfee" a positive life-affirming film with plenty of humour, music, dancing and singing.

The title of the film was changed from the dark "Silence" to the sweet-and-cute "Barfee". The film will now have as many as 10-12 songs, although the hero doesn't talk or speak.

Said a source: " Anurag Basu was earlier working simultaneously on his two Ranbir Kapoor projects 'Barfee' and 'Kishore' (the Kishore Kumar bio-pic) for UTV. In the past few months, he abandoned 'Kishore' to focus on altering and fine-tuning 'Barfee'."

"Though Ranbir's character of 'Barfee' cannot hear or speak, he will be shown to be a happy-go-lucky sod. He will be goofy and fun-loving, making others laugh while laughing at his own debilitating disabilities."

In the film, Ranbir stars with Priyanka Chopra, who plays a mentally challenged girl.

Ranbir gives Nargis Hindi lessons

Ranbir Kapoor and his ‘Rockstar’ co-star Nargis Fakhri have been making headlines ever since the two allegedly started spending great time together on the sets of the film. But Ranbir kept insisting that his closeness to the actress was only on professional level. And now the Kapoor lad is making desperate attempts to help Nargis improve her diction in Hindi, hence the proximity.

Buzz has it that the Kapoor kid and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali have instructed the crew members of the film to converse with the model turned actress in Hindi. They want her accent to be typically Hindi. Nargis, who happens to be half-Pakistani and half-Czechoslovakian, was born in the US.

The actor-director duo is relentlessly working at brushing up Fakhri’s language skills before the release of their film.

Talking to a tabloid, a source revealed, "Nargis` screen presence and her acting abilities are topnotch. Everyone from the unit is raving about her. But the matter of her lines still needs to be sorted out."

Well, we do understand Imtiaz’s concern over the debutant hottie’s edgy Hindi accent but what makes Ranbir so interested in correcting her diction? Does the hunk feel Imtiaz isn’t good enough to do the needful or there is some other reason?

Nargis on Ranbir's speed dialing list

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor has dated many from Deepika Padukone to Katrina Kaif and then Nargis Fakhri but who is No-1 in Ranbir's speed list?

“The No-1 is my mother. I speak to her 2-3 times a day. I don’t do anything without letting her know, without actually talking to her,” Ranbir said.

So, the star actor is a momma’s boy and lady love always comes next to his mother.

My mom is very caring, she is always calling me asking me if I have eaten my lunch, my dinner, if I am doing ok," he added.

These days the actor is busy shooting for ‘Rockstar’ directed by Imtiaz Ali, ‘Azan’ directed by Prashant Chadha and ‘Barfee’ directed by Anurag Basu.

Kat nursing her break up wounds

Is it so that Katrina Kaif is nursing a bruised heart! Well, if we take in account her recent alleged break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, and the current buzz in tinsel town, all is not well with Kat. Though she recently visited London for an endorsement event, goss has it that her family wanted her to stay back in London for a change.

As per sources, Katrina is very hurt with the recent upheavals in her personal life. She was presumably dating Ranbir since her Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani days, but never went on record to say that she is into a relationship. Now she is not seeing the Kapoor lad any more, but heart breaks are not easy to recover from.

So Katrina’s family felt that she needed a change and they called her to London. Now, Katrina is back from London and has gotten busy with shooting. She is in Agra filming a wedding sequence of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Imran Khan.

The actress also had tough time when the media was agog with stories about her break-up with Salman Khan. However, Kat still maintains that Salman will continue to be her good friend.

Nargis Fakhri the new playgirl in B Town

Nargis Fakhri, all set to make her debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor, has been in the news more for her ‘romantic’ affairs rather than her work.

The model from the US has already got many tongues wagging for her closeness to her Rockstar co-actor Ranbir Kapoor. The pictures of Ranbir and Nargis bonding together on the sets of director Imtiaz Ali’s film have already hit the web and now we hear that there’s another man the lissom damsel is often spotted with: none other than the divorced model Shayan Munshi, he who hit the headlines for turning hostile as a witness in the Jessica Lal murder case.

Rumour has it that there’s something brewing between Nargis and Shayan. The two have been spotted together more often than not in the past few weeks.

They have been spotted at restaurants and cafes and even enjoying the long drives.

Nargis and Shayan know each other through Shayan’s sister who is Nargis’ friend.

Reports say the two even went on a brief vacation in Goa.

From the start, Nargis has enjoyed a lot of male attention in B-town, be it Ranbir, or his friend Ayan Mukherjee, and now Shayan. The girl apparently knows how to stay in the news.

Anushka finds Ranveer hotter than Ranbir

Though she is just a few films old, Anushka Sharma has already had a good share of controversies.

After being linked up to her Band Baaja Baarat co-star Ranveer Singh, it was recently reported that Anushka is romantically involved with Ranbir Singh. And while the actress denied all reports of her love affair with either Ranveer or Ranbir, her recent candid confession says it all.

At a recent interview, Anushka was posed with a rather tricky question. She was asked to choose the hotter dude between Ranveer and Ranbir. Without taking any time to give the question a thought, Anushka said, "Ranveer Singh. He is definitely hotter than Ranbir Kapoor."

Though we are unsure if our female readers will agree or disagree with Anushka, we see her statement pointing towards the fact that reports of her growing closeness and fondness for Ranveer are not completely baseless.
