Anushka replaces DP in Ayaan's next

Ayaan Mukerji's second film with Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has come up with a new surprise. Deepika Padukone, who was cast as the female lead in the film, has just been replaced.

Much like her off-screen life, Anushka Sharma will now be romancing Dippy's ex-flame on screen.

A source explains how the personal undercurrents have complicated the casting of the film, saying, "Deepika and Ayaan have been great friends for a long time now. While discussing the film, Deepika suggested that she wanted to be a part of the film.

Ayaan thought she was apt for the role. However, there have been many ifs and buts since then. Ranbir's then girlfriend, Katrina, was not very happy with Deepika being a part of the film. Besides, there were speculations about Katrina herself doing the movie.

However, after Ranbir and Katrina's recent break up and the actor's link-up to various women including Anushka, she seemed like the next obvious option for the role. And so, now, Anushka has been finalised for the film."

When contacted Karan Johar said, "Ayaan is still writing the film. He will lock his script in a month and then we will finalise everything. Right now the only person signed for the film is myself as the producer."

Ayaan and Anushka remained unavailable for comment.

Hrithik gains weight for Agneepath

Aamir did it for Ghajini, John Abraham for Khakha Khakha remake and now Hrithik is doing it for his much awaited Agneepath remake, a film produced by Karan Johar.

Hrithik's trainer Satya, who has worked with Aamir on Ghajini has revealed how the actor needs to gain 14 kgs for his role in Agneepath remake.

Priyanka said, "I am shooting for Agneepath but cannot put up the pics as we have different looks and cannot reveal it as yet."

Two star kids debut in KJO's "Student of the Year"

Student Of The Year is a love story based on teens with stars like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra.

Varun is the son of famous film man David Dhavan while Alia is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt the popular filmmaker.

The movie is a joint effort and is a part of Red Chillies Entertainment by the Shahrukh Khan and Dharma Production by Karan Johar.

The film will go on floor around next month and it is being said that King Khan will make a small appearance in the film.

All the three actors are debuting with this film. Karan is recognized for his youngster flicks and also his preference of promoting youngsters.

His films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and many more are all based on the college setup. Both Varun ans Siddharth may actually be new comers but they hold a lot of experience in the parts of filmmaking because of their background.

Talking about the movie Karan Johar said that the film has everything starting from songs, dances, happiness, fun and young frolic all over. This film is a step to bring in back the happy and easy films that are about emotional energy and love.

Putting the movie in simpler terms the flick is definitely youthful happy and chirpy with all that young drama.

The first look of the movie is also out and the three young actors are seen in their individual spaces with Alia in the middle with a black dress on while Varun and Siddharth sport the typical college guy outfits.

Controversial Koffee gets Preity furious

Preity Zinta demands an apology from Tusshar Kapoor for his comment about her on a TV show

Preity Zinta is furious with Tusshar Kapoor for his statement on Karan Johar's TV show. In a still-to-be-aired episode, the host asked his guest 'who comes to mind when I say the following things.'

One of the prompts was botox/cosmetic surgery, to which Tusshar repled: Preity Zinta. When this bit of news reached the actress, she was livid. She called Karan to complain and requested him to delete the offending question.

A source close to her says, "Preity doesn't talk rubbish about anyone. She sees no reason why Tusshar, who she hasn't even worked with, should take off on her without provocation." Not one to take an insult lying down, PZ called Tusshar to fire him and demanded an apology. He told her that he regretted making the statement.

Tusshar confirms, "Preity called me. She was upset and I cleared my stand." He clarifies why he made the comment on the show. "Everyone knows that Karan's rapid fire round is just for laughs. You don't even have the time to think when Karan puts you in the dock. Recently, I saw Preity's picture in a magazine and she was looking stunning having lost a lot of weight. So, when Karan asked, Preity's name just came out at the spur of the moment. There's nothing more to it." he says.

He continues, "I've loved Preity since Soldier. I didn't mean to hurt her and I'm feeling bad that my comment turned into such an ugly controversy. I'm glad that we spoke and sorted it out rather than letting it snowball into something worse. I don't even know what botox actually is, and why will I say something like this about someone who I truly respect." When asked if the said question had been deleted, he said, "I don't know. Maybe some of what I said might have been edited out," the Golmaal actor concludes.

B-town parties with Sachin Tendulkar

The euphoria following the World Cup victory is hard to describe in words. Right from the common man to high profile celebrities, all are still busy celebrating Team India's success in their own sweet way.

The 'Men In Blue' too have been partying hard ever since they bagged the Cup that Counts. 'Master Blaster'- Sachin Tendulkar, for whom it has been a life-long dream that has finally been accomplished, too had a bash for his close friends. The bash, organised by restaurateur Sanjay Narang, saw a lot of B-town celebs in attendance.

Among the big names who made it to the bash were Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aamir Khan with Kiran Rao, Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar and Eesha Koppikhar. Among the cricketers, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan made it to the bash.

For a change, the B-town stars themselves turned into star-struck fans as they waited for an opportunity to pose with Sachin Tendulkar.

KJo posted his pic with Sachin on Twitter and said, "Had to tweet this!!! My big moment with the legend of all legends!!!"

Shahid Kapoor too was all starry eyed when he came to face with the God of Cricket. The actor tweeted, "What a man!!!!! Privileged to be by his side!!"

Eesha Koppikhar too only had words of praise for the Little Master. The actress tweeted, "What a moment to pose with you. Team India n u have made us proud."

War of words on Koffee with Karan

It’s wartime in sibling territory. Actor Tusshar Kapoor got into a strong war of words with his filmmaker sister Ekta Kapoor on the sets of Karan Johar’s TV show Koffee with Karan, in the episode that goes on air tonight.

The reason for the apparent spat was Ekta making fun of Tusshar’s co-star and rumoured girlfriend, Radhika Apte. An eyewitness on the sets, who does not wish to be named, says, “Tusshar had been raving about Radhika and the chemistry he shares with her in Balaji’s upcoming film, Shor in the City. Ekta seemed displeased with it and got a chance to take potshots at Apte during the rapid fire round. When Tusshar was asked to rate his top five sexy actresses, he named Kareena, Priyanka and Katrina and then broke off to think. Ekta then interrupted and said, “Radhika Apte”. At this, Karan Johar asked, ‘Who is this Radhika’ to which Ekta sarcastically said, ‘Exactly! Who is she?’ Ekta went on to joke that Tusshar had bad taste in women and called Radhika ‘horsey’ beautiful.”

The source adds, “Tusshar seemed really upset at this and asked her not to be rude.” Things went to the extent of Tusshar adding that he “did not need Ekta’s approval” on whom he should be friends with. When Johar intervened and said he was looking forward to seeing the on screen chemistry between Tusshar and Radhika, Ekta said, “I hope the chemistry stays on the screen, only!”

When contacted, Ekta said, “Karan’s is a fun show and the banter was like what any brother sister have. I have no problem with Radhika.”

On the other hand, Tusshar says, “I will not stand anyone taking on my personal life, and that goes for Ekta as well. It was not a fight, but more out of irritation. Radhika and I do get along, but I don’t want to label what we share.”

KJO Weds Vandana Melwani..!!

The latest buzz in tinsel town is that Karan Johar, the self-avowed non-believer in the institution of marriage, has decided to tie the knot.

The source of the buzz lies in a Dubai-based Bollywood glossy which claims that the master of mush is finally going to settle down.

The 38-year-old filmmaker will reportedly get married to a family friend from New York. The girls name is Vandana Melwani.

K-Jo is one of the most eligible bachelors in Bollywood, apart from, of course, Salman Khan. There have in the past been rumours about Johar tying the knot, but he has managed to keep single till now. Though, he’s often heard grumbling about his age and the increasing white streaks in his hair, he’s shown no real excitement in getting hitched.

So the question on everybody’s lips is - is Karan tying the knot at last?

Karan Johar, Bollywood's most speculated bachelor is all set to tie the knot with a gorgeous New York-based girl. The reports have put an end to the speculation about the director's sexuality. The director who coaxes celebs to spill the beans about personal lives has himself become the centre of gossip this time.

But Apparently, Johar's numerous trips to New York and London to "write scripts" were actually secret rendezvous with his to be bride 31-year-old Vandana Melwani, reports Mid Day.

While B-town is abuzz with the gossip, Karan Johar refused to comment. On being asked about the reports, the usually chatty was tongue tied and could manage only a "Hmmm", reports Mid day.

Previously, the director had confessed that he feels married to his mother. But though he has always showed disinterest in holy matrimony, seems like he has finally decided to take the plunge.

No Koffee with Karan for Salman

Karan Johar is shooting his finale episode of Koffee With Karan. And it won't be Salman Khan as planned. KJo has decided that much as he wants the actor on that couch, he doesn't want to pay him to be a guest on his chat show.

Says a friend of the filmmakers, "He is happy to give any amount of money to Salman's charity, but he doesn't want it to be a condition for him to come on the show.

Also, it is not fair to other stars like the Bachchans and Shah Rukh Khan who have appeared on the show in every season, if one pays one actor and not them. So, he decided to leave Salman out for now."
